I don't know about others but I could understand why Virat didn't reply to her when I watched that episode.

I could see that he was overwhelmed, wasn't in a position to reply. It was like he was shocked that Sai has come to know so much about his past and how will he be able to clarify anything to her.

It was like he was the one who told her about his commitment in the past and how can he clarify to Sai that it no longer holds good in a way that Sai won't misunderstand him. He was worried that Sai might think that he is running away from his commitment if he had answered it that time. He was worried that the relationship with Sai will come to an end even before he began. He wanted the girl to have a good impression on him and didn't want to start their relationship with a revelation that he has ended his commitment. He was also embarassed when she confronted him with all the details of the past. He wasn't ready for it.

See it is natural, he had feelings for her and he didn't know how to talk openly about his past to her. He was always made to think that the girl doesn't like him at all. His insecurity also played a part in staying quiet that day. He was worried that Sai will start to look at him in a bad light.

He was going through a lot of emotions and that made him numb, he couldn't even open his mouth to reply after he last direct question about Pakhi. He felt very helpless.

@bold I agree with you to some extent. When someone asks me how can Virat lose his cool being this old or can't he have reacted differently, I tell them that his age doesn't matter. People can act immatured irrespective of his age or his qualifications. It is like theybare burdened with too much of expectations.

I would still say that Virat has failed to stay alert, in his profession, people stay alert in almost everything. Yes, he too can fail, but this was not like something that could have been ignored. It was blind trust on Pakhi which made him ignore. He held her in too high regards to even think of doubting her. He lets his emotions overpower his senses which is why he has been making mistakes. Otherwise with loads of good qualities in him, and with moral values in right place, there is very little chance for him to make mistakes.

Sai is strong yes, but even strong people become weak when it comes to emotions like love. The reason I brought that she is too young or single is because, she really hasn't seen any couple in her life in her day to day life to be able to associate or relate the feelings she has for Virat.

She has no clue about relationships, Virat I believe is the first guy whom she had some feelings even in GC. She has been in denial since then. And ever since she heard about his commitment, she got too hurt, those unsaid emotions were killed even before she could give some name to it. We can't deny that whatever she spoke about marriage, asking him too to not expect her to be his wife were all a retort to his statements. She was hurt as a bride when he said this marriage isnt a real one. That made her more determined to not feel for him, to not think about him.

Also I have a feeling, which I am not sure yet, that she wants to believe that Virat sees her as is his wife and wants to believe that the marriage is no more a deal looking at his actions but isn't confident to accept it or to voice it out or should I say afraid to accept it?

Recently, she had started to believe that the marriage is probably not a deal and had started to have hopes without her own knowledge which was shattered during the ousting. This hurt her even more. If she had no feelings for him, no hopes, she wouldn't be as hurt as she is right now. She is trying to guard herself by not willing to consider his apology.

I could see care for Virat in her even in GC when she asked Virat not to cry. That is how a person who is angry and hurt would console. She didn't want to let him know that she felt bad that he was crying, so she said that I too didn't cry, so you don't cry. So I think that not forgiving and all is also a facade so that she doesn't get tempted to return to his life.

@italics not sure if that will happen. I think all that she needs to know or realise is that Pakhi has no place in Virat's life, he has no feelings for her. She will accept the marriage as a real marriage probably when she gets confident about that. It need not be him telling it, if she has to realise it on her own, it probably would take time. But Pakhi shouldn't do anything else in the meanwhile which will again make her go back to calling it a deal.
