Yes her death will mean that he will never find that peace even after worshipping God, sounds cruel, and unjust too, after all that is said and done he obviously does not deserve to bear the pain of seeing mahi die, and nor does Mahi deserves to see him die, but it makes more sense and less cruel to make Feedi die, because he already has abandoned the worldly pleasures so yeah.

Happy ending seems very unlikely here

Happy ending in this case will be the kabada of the story .. but going by KAM1 & reverse character plot of KAM1 .. Originally (show) in KAM1 Imaan came from a modest background & died at the end .. Here Feedi comes from a modest bg and I have a feeling he will die instead of Mahi ..

Imaan dies because she couldn't deal with the fact that Hammad was suffering for her and she could not be with him even though she loved her back. So, here the same scenario is possible too because Mahi might just want to be with him afterall the shit and still will not be with him because obviously the 'class difference'. But I still feel, Feedi will die, he himself gave us hints while he left lahore and even when he said Dilawar that he will forgive him for his blood.

Yes, the tanweez is probably a token which she gives him to move on and forget what has been said and done between them, because she also does not want to see him suffer, while he will move on by adorning a life where he serves to God only.
