Exactly.

And since SS is the ML and he has to get the FL, so these traits are not obvious in him or writers try to keep it away (excluding the library and all the character assassination he did)

But in real life with a family like this, he would have turned out with similar manipulative tendencies. This is not a prejudice and someone can be much different, better in fact. But yeh tendencies hoti hi hai jo whole life aisi emotional blackmailing and manipulation ka victim hota hain.
