Chapter 44

Beautiful love story of Jodha Akbar (History mixed with my own imagination)

They made love and slept peacefully in each others arms... Jodha woke up early in the morning and looked at Jalal, he was sleeping she kissed on his forehead and she realised she was still undressed so she thought of getting dressed before he wake up, she tried to get up but she couldn't as Jalal's hand had encircled her she tried removing his hand but she couldn't, she looked at his face and he was sleeping, she tried again still she couldn't... Jodha looked around she found her lehanga and choli lying on the floor which was almost reachable to her, Jodha stretching her hands to pick them up but she couldn't she tried again and again but she failed she looked at Jalal and he was still sleeping Jodha started talking loud 'stop your drama shehansha' I know you aren't sleeping now remove your hand from me; closing his eyes Jalal started laughing a loud, Jodha too smiled but the minute Jalal opened his eyes she kept her face stern and asked now will you take your hand or not, Jalal pulled her close to him saying where do you wanna go now Jodha? Jalal it's already morning and did you forget today is the wedding I have lots of work to do, yes you can do all that work later Jodha Begum now spent some time with your shehansha said Jalal; from last evening I am only with you Jalal everyone will be waiting for me, it won't be nice if I don't do anything, i should be there to take care of all the preparations after all I am bride's sister said Jodha... After all even I am bride's jiju but before that I am your shohar so first listen to me Jodha just I need your warm hug, hug me tight for 10 minutes and I will let you go said Jalal; Jodha said ufff you are no less than a kid shehansha I will hug you but let me wear my clothes first... Jodha Begum did you hear what I said I want warm hug, I wanna feel the warmness of your body said Jalal, Jodha didn't know what to reply she smiled saying you will never change shehansha, Jalal pulled jodha close to him hugged her tight saying why should I even change? Enjoying the warmth and listening to Jalal's heartbeat Jodha asked will you love me the same way even after 20 or 30 years Jalal? Why not Jodha if I had loved only your looks then my love would fade away within years but I love your heart, your thoughts, your smile all these will never fade away so my love will always remain the same for you.

After 15 minutes Jodha said now let me go shehansha please, Jalal broke his hug kissed on Jodha's forehead and said I let you go now but will hold you tight again today in the night... Jodha smiled saying let's see she got down from the cot holding her bedsheet took her clothes and asked Jalal to close his eyes, Jalal asked Jodha Begum I am shehansha of this Hindustan and you are ordering me to close my eyes? No I will not, Jodha said please Jalal I feel shy, with a smirk Jalal said if you are feeling shy then closing your eyes that is the best option so you are permitted to close your eyes Jodha, in little louder voice Jodha shouted shehansha... Jalal laughed out loud saying shout even loud Jodha let people know how you are dominating me, Jodha started requesting please shehansha close your eyes for just 2 minutes Jalal said it's because you are requesting so much I will give you an option Jodha Begum I will close my eyes but on one condition, Jodha uffed again and asked what is it? Jalal said I will close my eyes and help you to wear your dress, Jodha gave him a sarcastic look, Jalal said trust me Jodha I will not open my eyes, innocent Jodha agreed to Jalal's condition... Jalal got down from the cot and came stood in front of his Begum, Jodha said shehansha remember you should not cheat now close your eyes, Jalal said trust me Jodha I will not open my eyes and then he closed his eyes Jodha dropped the bedsheet with which she was covering herself she gave her lehanga in Jalal's hand and said here it is, closing his eyes Jalal helped Jodha to wear that, now Jodha gave her choli in Jalal's hand and said here is the blouse shehansha Jalal took that in his hand made Jodha to wear and in the name of putting the hooks he started playing with her bosom, Jodha tried pushing him but Jalal held her hand tight and said Jodha Begum see as said I did not open my eyes... but look what your hands are doing Jalal? said jodha in anger for which Jalal replied that may be because your orders were only for my eyes Jodha not for my hands or lips and he started smooching her all over Jodha managed to push him grabbed her chunni, wore it and ran out... Jalal watched her running out with a smile.

Jodha took bath, finished poja for her kanah and went to Sukanya's room, sukanya was surrounded by almost all the women's in the palace... The minute Jodha entered sukanya said Didi finally you came I want you to dress me up said Sukanya... Why not Suku I am gonna dress up my little sister like a doll said Jodha... Are you nervous Suku? asked Jodha, yes Didi I am very scared replied Sukanya... Jodha said there is nothing to get scared Suku it's time for you to stay happy, you know Raja Suryabhan very well and he has understood you very well so don't worry about anything everything will be fine, your nervousness is seen on your face, enjoy your this moment said Jodha... Shivani came in, saw Sukanya and said hey bagwan please save my Suryabhan jijasa, kya? asked Sukanya... Kyu ki meri Didi looks extremely gorgeous today said Shivani... Suku looked at her self in the mirror and shyly smiled...

All the arrangements were made... Suryabhan was sitting in front of the agni and pandit asked bride to come sit beside the groom Jodha, her masa, Shivani and her sister in law's got Sukanya and made her sit beside Suryabhan... Panditji said bride's parents please come forward to finish the rituals, raja bharmal said panditji my jamaisa and beti will do the rituals on our behalf, Sukanya felt bad tears rolled down her cheeks, manmati wiped Sukanya's tears and Raja Bharmal went to Sukanya and said stop crying Sukanya do you feel your bapusa is still anger with you? No I am not, Sukanya looked at her bapusa's face he caressed her and said my 3 daughters are my precious pearls I can't be angry with them for long time my blessings are always with you my daughter then, then why are you not doing these rituals for me bapusa's questioned Sukanya with teary eyes it's because I want that respect to be given to Jodha and shehansha because they were the reason for you marriage... Sukanya smiled, Raja Bharmal said wipe your tears and be happy.

Jalal and Jodha sat down and finished all the rituals... Panditji asked Suryabhan to keep kumkum on Sukanya's forehead, and then they exchanged the garland and completed the marriage taking seven steps of saptapadi... Newly wed couples took blessings from everyone, Sukanya hugged her bapusa and cried loud she said thank you bapusa for forgiving me, Raja Bharmal felt so heavy his eyes welled up with tears he kissed on his daughter's forehead and said how can I be angry with my little girl and then he looked at Suryabhan and said now she is your responsibility take care of my precious pearl, Raja Suryabhan assured he will take care of Sukanya well... Sukanya feel to her Didi and jijasa's feet she thanked them for being there for her, both sisters hugged each other and cried, mean while Suryabhan hugged Jalal and said thanks to him... Sukanya's plaque was ready she hugged and cried on all her brothers shoulder said good bye to everyone and went with her in laws with heavy heart and tearful eyes.

Jalal called all his people and asked them to make arrangements for them to leave, Raja Bharmal said shehansha why don't you all stay with us for 2 more days and then start your journey? Jalal said there are lot many things pending in Agra raja sabh, it's been many days i need not explain you as you know better, Raja Bharmal said yes shehansha I do understand... Finally they started their journey back to Agra.
