It is crazy how we are all seeing the same show but some people are adamant on viewing something that is not happening at all. Yeh kaise delusions paal lete hain log to wanting to defend something that is not occurring at all. Aditya has a lot of flaws but going against the will of the women in his life is definitely not one of them. And that’s been pretty consistent since the very beginning.

He has been yelling out marzi to all and sundry. Only thing left is to blaze it in the skies.

Adi is holding back only Imlie 😆 . Because she is his air to breathe. He cannot even function without her. Still he gave her the choice. He left PG without her. They can't live without each other.

i see what you mean and yes in joking terms sure he wants her close but again i don't agree with it that he is holding her back.. he told her she can't leave caz it is stupidity and doesn't solve the actual issue.. escapism isn't the answer way main that kiske liye bhagna hai.. and khud ko takleef deni hai.. it still isn't using FORCE.. as it is used when it is said he holds her back

imlie ko jaana hai woh jaaye iska guzara nahi hoga he will follow her he will find a way to be with her but he isn't holding her back..

again the way people say it is as if the shaadi has been a Qaid of sort and she has shackles around her which is not the case.. caz if that was it It was a 2 mins game him telling all in PD ke yeh jaana nahi chahti uske saath and woh lene aaya hai and they all would've packed her up with him caz he is PATI*shrugs*

Love this thread and all the analysis and I think I will come back to this to remind myself why I love Aditya Kumar Tripathi’s character! Especially with more potential drama in the near future, these thoughts will definitely help me get through the episodes 😆 Thank you ladies. I am going to sit back and enjoy the discussion😄

Besides the consent part am not sure If i agree with this point as such.. yes they are married but at the same Time it would just look really weird and Not at all Dignified if they start doing things beyond it.. as we have discussed Before in some of the thread.. they show emotional and physical intimacy by using smartly placed camera angles the closeups the cut offs rather than actually doing it.. Heck they have maintained so much sensitivity and I FREAKING LOVE IT.. none of the gestures are needed as such IMO that comes through where they stand and Frankly i wouldn't like to see any of it beyond that just now... it demands hell loads of Nuance and sensitivity and they are doing such a great job of maintaining that besides She is a minor still and it would be REALLY NOT SOMETHING That i would appreciate 😕 just yet caz of the real life age difference and i will leave it at that ...

Both Malini & Imlie have agency of their own to make the choices that they want to. And they both do this frequently. Adi is not the one who is holding or forcing them to be in a relationship with him.

In case of Malini, Adi has given her 1000s of reason that show her that he does not love her & wants to separate from her. Yes, he has not told her the god damn truth. But her own instinct is working just fine & she has come to the same conclusion. It is just that she doesn't want to accept the truth that her marriage is over & using twisted means to hold onto Adi. She is the one who is forcing him to continue being in the relationship. Malini has all the advantages in life- she is beautiful, well educated, working & comes from an affluent background. She has all the options in the world open to her but she is just herself getting fixated on not having Adi.

In case of Imlie, she has always stuck to her own decisions regarding her view of their relationship giving two hoots about what Adi wants. Earlier when Adi wanted her to let go of her faith in their marriage, she refused & maintained her faith in her relationship. When Adi went on to tell her to move on with someone else, again she refused to give up her faith & belief in their marriage & left Delhi itself because she wanted to live her life on her own terms. Yes Imlie does not have many options & privileges but that has never stopped her from following her own convictions. Now that Adi loves her & wants to reveal the truth & give her rightful place of his wife again she is refusing to comply due to her own morality.

So where has Adi taken away her choices. Yes, he emotionally black mailed her to return back to T house but it only worked in her because she herself wanted to go back to the family & Adi but was just denying herself. In Imlie's case there will always be a lot of self denial & so Adi will be the one who will try to get the things & haq that she wants for herself which can come off as him forcing his will on her if people just ignore what Imlie actually wants rather than what she says she wants.

Exactly!! and am sorry but all his emotional Tricks haven't really worked as such either 😆 on her and Nor he ws doing them out of making some calculated moves ke yeh kahoonga toh yeah reaction aayega yeh kahoonga to yeh.. it was impulsive Requests and taane of sorts and zid like most kids do . he had that sincerity in all those tum nahi chahti tum chahti ho hum jaayein chalo na humare saath.. never any of those Coming after extraordinary planning on the spot *cough* like somebody else..

I meant in consent way only.. my point being he as a man is respectful of the boundaries the world has placed on them.. he is not being pushy if I have to put it.. even the hug PD was so beautiful... you could see his hesitation in touching her.. that part of Marzi I am saying.

He has been very respectful to both his wives..
