makes me so happy to keep replaying this scene!!
You know the biggest mistake BM has made is that she thinks she can control Shaurya because he somehow owes it to her in exchange of her love. She thinks her love for him will give her the leeway to take all decisions in his life.
He doesn't always listen to her and she knows that but she thinks it is his 'standard rebelliousness against parents' like any other kid. but he is his own human being. All he picked up from her upbringing was false information, temporary/situational love and support and HER opinions about his mother and women. But he is a very strong person by himself and a perfect amalgamation of his parents. he has a clear understanding of his family and their views, love, passion, stubbornness and the ability to understand the right and wrong and hence knows what he wants!
In her pride, in her insecurity she did not even realize how far she took it with him this time. That is why I am very curious to see how the scene after the accident happens, knowing that they had this particular conversation. Does the accident make her realize that she is pushing him too far or does it just make her more desperate? Is she still strong enough to stand against Shastha (an even stronger force by itself and by relation than Shaurya) who will rightly standby their son?
I feel like his line - Don't make this about yourself, it is about me! - this probably was never said in ITV in this relation. It just makes it even more special.
