Well, wish to hum bhi kar rahe hain ki ye shaadi na ho... but the original story is what is preventing me from keeping my hopes up.

Original mein Shobhit's character does get married to the FL's step sister. Uske baad bhi I guess he continues his affair with his GF cos they have a daughter in the original (now, yahan par I don't know whether she was already pregnant or she got pregnant post Shobhit's character's marriage as I have just read the Wikipedia synopsis)

But there it was also mentioned that Shobhit and FL's step sis separate later on (probably because she gets exposed) and then he marries Charmi's character and brings their daughter home.
