She did something similar with Aastha. Remember Gayatri mentioned that Aastha showed up to the hospital when Shaurya was sick and never got entrance....thenN Devi twisted it as “your mom never came”

He could have just made arrangement with ahir's and babli's help and could have fled to some other venue for proposal
