Even when he worked with Natasha in CATWS, he did grow to trust her after she saved him from Bucky on the highway. Natasha, having been a spy and a shady past, was trusted for the first time by someone, even though she had "betrayed" him once earlier in the movie (Fury had given her a hidden task on the ship scene remember, the scene from ur siggy).

Not first, Hawkeye and Nick trust her to death.😆

Sometimes I feel had it not been Seb, the character would never come across this vulnerable, this beautiful. I mean, not that I am saying taht other actors are bad, but it just looks like Seb cares more about Buck then any of the writers (not TFATWS, they did write him brilliantly) Seb celebrated Buck's birthday, I mena, how cute is that!

Same with Loki.

@bold: omg this! Even his expressions in that one scene were freaking brilliant. For a second he remembers or maybe he doesn't ? Like was some part of his memory triggered ? I know this is a meme but the EXPRESSIONS!!

Sebastian has truly breathed life into the character. The other characters have all known their backstory, had dialogues etc. But Bucky has been a true challenge. In the first film he is initially the quintessential American, the ladies man but a loyal friend, later on he becomes sort of a sidekick to his best friend and still remained loyal. It did not bother him that his friend was a superhuman and having women crush on him (which was Bucky's area ukwim).

But he truly shone in CATWS. Less than 10 dialogues, he had to act with his face and body. How many actors could have pulled that off? Even though I feel the same for Loki, Tom Hiddleston added loads of charisma and oomph to the demi-god, but Loki's backstory and situation was well-known. Bucky on the other hand's backstory would be revealed slowly in each movie. See how we are even getting scenes in TFATWS. He is still a mystery, yet its like the fans know all about him, probably the understand Bucky better than Bucky himself. Sebastian Stan is a genius to be able to pull off something like this!! 👏

That being said I love Loki dearly too, and I am a huge fan of Tom Hiddleston. If it weren't for his brilliant portrayal we wouldn't have had Loki on for so many years. And there are way more stories about the God of Mischief, we'll know Loki's true potential in the mini series.

Personally I feel CATWS is the best MCU movie ever, they weren't playing around. It was raw, emotional, and showed true struggles of the greater good without the super powers.

Didn't Tony say "He's an agent, his secrets have secrets." So did Nick totally trust anyone?

Nick worked with her, Barton recruited her. Baron probably did trust her, considering he told her about his family and his children called her Aunty Nat.

But Steve was possibly her first friend. And in that sense he was the first person to have seen her for real. It showed how much they cared for each other when she let him escape with Bucky in Civil War and went on the run with him later.

@bold, YES! Its my fav out of the lot, and I like Civil war a little less than the Winter Soldier

There is a deleted scene, where Steve and the rescued soldiers come back and a nurse asks Buck if he is ok and he just smiles sadly, as if he knows something's wrong, but right at the same time (his healing factor kicking in) and its such a beautiful scene that goes unnoticed because of all other (brilliant) scenes. Its all Seb.

@italics, for him, steve never changed, becuase only he saw steve for what he was, a good man, like dr. eirksen, while others saw a greek god dressed as a fighter and a soldier. Only Bucky knew what an self sacrificing idiot steve was. He followed that steve!

@red, I wish there was some video or something of it

Plus, when Seb goes "Bucky was happy taht steve got his life back in endgame" but was trhowing sad looks aorund, I think its beautiful! It was because Bucky still doesnt know how to feel about steve leaving, happy that his bestie got the lfie he deserved, or sad that he is alone in this new century with a flying man?

Nat-Steve is a beautiful relation, and I wish we had more BlackWitch, becuase both have lost a lot, both are alone. Not that otehrs havent, but I guess we would have got a female friendship, which, apart for Gamora-Mantis, we dont really see much in MCU.

We went from discussing how Ranveer doesn't make us want to work out to how much of a good actor Seb is. Are we going to get a "This thread has gone from north pole to south pole, so its being closed" note?🤣

@red: Thats the entire point na, Bucky when in his senses would never do anything to hurt Steve. He couldn't even kill him in TWS. His human side was stronger than HYDRA's programming. Bucky finally had the chance to settle down and pick up the bits of pieces of his life and Steve left him?! How could Steve make him go thru so much? Steve himself was all alone trying to figure out life after he came back from the ice. If it were the other way around, Bucky would never leave Steve.

And about seeing the good in him, does that mean Peggy fell for Steve only after he transformed? Is that love or lust? Natasha on the other hand flirted with him only after she'd known him for two years and the only signs of genuine affection were in this scene:

@bold: Romanorogers u mean 😆 We did deserve more of them. Especially since Nat did not have a family to begin with. Steve and Sam on the run became her family and even Steve was all alone.

I am saddened we did not see Maria and Nat's friendship, how they handled the stupidity of the men around them. Even add Pepper to that mix, being Tony Stark's girlfriend must be a handful 😆

The OG girls deserved the kind of love the newer MCU girls are getting. Not saying the newer ones don't deserve it, but the older group were the ones who led to this point.

I feel no, Peg too fell for "steve" coz while everyone judged him for being scrawny and still trying, she actually appreciated him. But this stops making sense when she takes him back in the timeline. Why? Peggy is supposed to be someone who falls for the ones who hide away in the dark with all achievements. She fell for steve and dan who were good men, who treated her right, who were brave. She had a hard time moving on from steve, and when she accepts him back, she is just some girl who is waiting for her man back, which peggy wasn't. she was more than that.
