Yes, katy I agree what Ani felt for AE cant be termed under true love. Even after all the developments, there is a growth and comfort in their equation but not actually something we can call of love in actual sense. Ani is extremely affectionate and a bit possessive about his own people, visible in Bon and even Mini at times, but with Mano that was absent. But Anirudh called it love. him expanding the horizons on his own idea of emotions would have actually been some thing worth watching, but dont know if makers are interested in it.

Actually, rather than jumping to leap the teenage developments and the after effects showing is a bold attempt, but the path chosen in a lil wierd with character assassinations. Honestly if an organic transformation of Bon emotions(aroubd 14-15age) and Ani's growing discomfort or confusion over their future together could have been shown better, with marraige truth revealation in picture. But that too we might feel odd with Aura. how much ever they show Bon as grown up, she is still baby in our eyes.

Finally AE will be shaheed on Monday....her chapter will close on Monday

I guess as Mano and bon entered , ani was definitely saving Mano only as he did not know about bomb plan ,hope he does not blame bon because ani went to save Mano only for him bon has already gone so him going there was for Mano

I doubt if all of these is laying footsteps for leap( may or may not be near). They actually had great scope with Saurabh Sampoorna as parallel lead.. Even Mini story could have been blended differently by keeping her grey and as a scope for future exploration.But they needed Ruditha to be established then, the easier way was to make her all negative beyond any redemption.Otherwise fandom by itself would have beeb split up into Minirudh and Anidita. So In a haste her character was put to an end in an irreversible way. To spice up Ruditha equation now or for later by the itv formula of love triangle, third angle is needed(simply to give takkar to other shows.. maintaining we are different vibe to not lose the existing audience yet claiming we are not too different to invite the other sect of audience)

Ani is suppressing feeling bcoz Ani is not the other men who fought with two wives in the street ib name of love. He is ARC, who will suppress all the love that come in his way to be monogamous. Even if he do Shadi it will be fake, only for the better good. No ARC baki mardon ki tarah nahi he.. he is unique, the revolutionary with principles intact

Agreed Faja. Saurabh-Sampoorna had a lot of scope. All those misogynistic developments in a marriage that happened during that era and which continue even now could have been brought with Saurabh-Sampoorna in the view and Rudhita fighting against them, adding on their own woes. Just how they merged the dowry track of Sampoorna with the BW and the HM track of Rudhita. Dowry and chodi-huyi aurat concept both are relevant still now and they handled it perfectly. That fetched trps too. Advantage on all sides.

@Bold - I don't know about Mini but I have said it earlier too (and as you said), if Rudhita needed to be established, what was the point of bringing Manorama? Love triangle? Not a very convincing reason. Because if they wanted a 'typical ITV love triangle' they would not have shown Ani loving Mano. In most of the ITV love triangle dramas, it's 2 ways - either the 3rd woman is obsessed with the ML OR the ML 'thinks' he loves the 3rd woman, but eventually gets a clarity between actual love and infatuation after he starts loving the FL (all those typical cliches happening that constantly tries to symbolize the ML 'ke asli pyaar FL hai' 🤪). But in BB, even the first concept was shown, the second was not. We, in fact, actually thought that Mano was brought in the picture to clear the feelings of Ani and help him distinguish between attraction and love. But with whatever was shown till now and whatever is going to happen, I am a cent percent sure of the fact that it was not the case we thought it to be. Rather Mano-Ani's equation was made to look like the ML and FL and Bon being the third woman. Like the mirror case. Normally ITV shows how the ML is happy with the other woman when suddenly the FL's entry marks the 'change' and beginning of the deterioration of the relationship of ML- other woman with some obvious symbolization. The mirror breaking showed how the ML was happy with the other woman, but the FL suddenly comes and breaks his illusion. That was how it was showed, no matter how much we disagree. Just like in the beginning when Mini tried to burn the diya of Bon and lighted her own diya, Bon's diya burned her saree, in the same way Mano broke the mirror that Ani thought of buying for Bon. So even though Rudhita was thought to be as a end-game, something made the makers to deviate from it and portray them only as mentor-mentee. Every scene right from the mirror scene to Ani's confession scene made it look like Mano as the FL. After the SR fiasco a lot of ITV cliches, in fact, was shown that suggested that Ani-Bon will not end up as Rudhita. Also we haven't got a justification for Ani's confession and we WON'T get it in the future too because Mano is going to die. So no chances. Hence, if due to backlash, they show Ani falling for Bon that will- first of all will look gross (third time 'real' love) without any justification for Mano's one and secondly after the behaviour of Ani with Bon all this time (after Mano wedding) was so incorrect, cold and unemotional-like, which I have mentioned many times here in EDT (the latest being of Thakur), that it won't ever have a good feeling to it, let alone the previous charm.

And yes, you are right in this case. The show was never exclusive on social changes. If you go by the tagline, it is the relationship growth of Rudi and the happenings in their lives, where social stigmas and consequent changes acted as a backdrop and a steering wheel.

But, as you said, Ani is not like other men- well it would have been the case if polygamy and it's issues was the track. But it was never like that. Leave alone issues, even polygamy looked so natural and right with Bon accepting and Ani, without any ounce of guilt, roaming around happily with two wives. It KIND OF promoted polygamy, with Ani-Mano being glorified. And after Mano's death do you think we would get a justification and realization of Ani regarding polygamy? Even if they do, it won't make any sense.
