Yes, it is a great thing of you manage to be both, but a good doctor should focus more on handling a patient and diagnosing them than on being kind and empathic.

A good doctor needs to be understanding, patient = any doctor lacking these qualities is unfit for MBBS profession. If the doctor is a surgeon in addition, the last thing a patient needs is an impulsive one.

A patient is more likely to open up with a doctor who is kind, rather than who looks like a khaddos 24/7. And any doctor who is rude, will lose his patients = irrespective of however successful, he may be in his profession.

Doctors must learn to fake the kindness - if they can't be kind by nature, whether they like it or not, if they have to be respected by their patients.

Virat has repeatedly shown himself to be a clown, and Sai is remembering that clown-like behavior to call him out. I'd hope any strong woman would.

Sai is never proactively rude. She is always *responding* to some insult with the same level of force. A family that allows elders to abuse, insult, and berate their younger members while they're expected to just sit and take it is absolutely disgusting and toxic. Good on her for speaking up against it, and if they do decide to slap her, they'd deserve 10x the slaps from her back. Screw that hierarchical structure - it belongs in a different century.

Sai would be an amazing doctor. She has already demonstrated standing up for what's right and has now saved two lives by the age of 18.

Sorry but u r absolutely wrong.my parents are doctor and I m also in 2nd year of mbbs.Thsts why I can say that sai is not qualified to ba doctor.

Empathy, kindness, never be rude or sarcastic, patience are the quality doctor must have.doctor can never be rude.

Looking at sai I m sorry but I don't think so person like her in real life are suitable for this profession.until they try to work on their waekness.

Lastly doctors never behave I know it alll.i m always right.

Yes to each his own .. some yell and do it in a crass way .. but that is less painful.. some do it with Mirch masala in a sneaky way .. some do it with tears and sobbing .. 😊

Alerting the neighbors of crimes and misbehavior would raise vigilance in the community. While I doubt they'd stop anything CN was adamant on doing, it also means that they have to tread more carefully in their misbehavior, which could make it not worth doing. It's like turning on your porch light at night. Will it stop thieves? No, not really, but it does add a layer of "maybe not worth it" to a thief. And the bonus of embarrassing her oppressors, so that's great.

The lives she saved were of Pulkit for thwarting his kidnapping (since murder was on the table), and of Devi for getting her out of a house that force-fed her drugs she didn't need (which could've led to an overdose or suicide).

The courts would have to prove that Devi is mentally unstable. And no court would be able to. Is she eccentric and a little weird? Yes. But mentally unfit to make a decision on marriage? Nope. Can't prove it.

Regarding rudeness, there is a chasm of difference between lashing out in the moment at someone versus constantly antagonizing someone as sport. Sai snaps at UM because she's close to her, and was annoyed in the moment. Pakhi/Bhavani, on the other hand, plans her day around how they're going to antagonize Sai. Huge difference.

I don't know what to tell you if you believe Sai would take her self-defensive behavior from home to her job. Why would that ever come up? Her patients aren't there to insult her. They're there to get checked, fixed up, and then leave. Maybe they'll disagree with a diagnosis, but they won't insult and antagonize her for years at a time, so Sai would have no need whatsoever to lash out at them. I can't believe this was your argument.

Sai would be an amazing doctor, because she is female lead, Indian female leads don't need degree or practice to be the best doctor

Anyone who thinks changing medicines or stopping psychotropic medications without consulting a psychiatrist, getting a patient married instead of getting her a doctor's appointment, leaving Devi with Chomu for wedding night, knowing she is not mentally sound therefore unable to make an informed decision and can't consent to either marriage or wedding night, should not be allowed to take such big decisions, especially when the best defense for her actions is her being a brash, impulsive teenager

Yes, she probably should've reported it to the police, along with the kidnapping, but maybe she isn't ready to completely ruin them (I would though).

Unprovable that Devi is not mentally sound. Sai knows they got married, that they were separated, and Devi was locked away and force-fed drugs to keep her docile. Improving her surroundings is the quickest way to get her back to normal, and she took the drastic step to do so. That's the defense.

Doctors need to empathetic. Sai is empathetic (pretty much the only person who was empathetic to Devi's struggles).

Yes, I have doctors in my family too. You're correct that empathy is an important trait.

And so when has Sai lacked empathy? Her sarcasm is only directed to people who deserve it, and she will not have patients calling her jungli mulgi every day.

It's her empathy that makes her so close to Devi. And to get her out of her toxic situation. None of the other family members even talk to her.

I'm a doctor myself and so i am constantly in touch with many other doctors too. While this show doesn't focus on her career and is more of a family drama, i completely disagree with people saying Sai's qualities would make her a bad doctor. People's personality at home/work are completely different things. I know enough people that are short tempered or impulsive that in their professional life are very different. Infact surgeons are often within the medical community known to be the more arrogant/angry/short tempered people. Every quality that is perceived as "negative" can become positive when channelized in the right way. For example some degree of Brashness/impulsiveness would make for a great intensivist/ER doctor who needs to make quick decisions. And Sai can be rude but thats only in retaliation. We have also had enough instances to see how caring she can be - with her aabaa, with aai, devi, bua, mohit etc. So its ridiculous that based on a few scenes people want to make a sweeping statement about how Sai is "unfit" to be a doctor.

And Sai only a student right now, and anyway in the show she will mature with age and experience and she will mellow down to some extent too. Shes intelligent, empathetic, strong willed and a lot of other good things too. I'm SO sick and tired of reading the posts that only bash Sai character and glorify Virat when clearly both have their set of flaws.

Calling the taxi in the night is not right. But she spoke the sentences in front of the neighbours ki mein pure raat ghar ke bahar thi. Means it looked like she stayed intentionally. If calling the taxi was not right then she could have asked Pulkit to pick her up. Then next day she might leave if her self respect is hurting

She stayed back the entire night hoping against hopes that Virat might change his decision. When they were all outside, she said that she will not return to this house, but she will reconsider if someone apologises.

Sai never expected Virat to stoop to this level. She only knows of Virat who is an honest police officer, who is kind, generous and who corrcets his mistake. The night he held her hand, when she was about to leave the house, he came and apologised and asked her to look at him as her family. She saw an entirely different Virat. That night Virat told her that she is very important for him. They have also shared some moments on the day of holi. She had started to consider him as something.

She knew she was wrong, knew that she has hurt him, broken his trust, but she thought that may be he needs time to cool down, to think about it and eventually might realise that he has done such a big mistake. Since she was willing to give them a chance if they apologise, she kept hoping he would correct his actions.

She woke up to find herself sitting there still, and that Virat never came to take her in. She was reminded of his words "I don't want to see anyone who doesn't belong to my family or my house". As soon as she recollected those words, and that she was still sitting outside, she was certain that he was actually firm in his decision and that he wasn't planning to change his decision.

Her first plan was to disclose about Devi and Kaku's kartoot to the neighbours, but after she realised Virat wasn't going to correct his actions, she got provoked and brought out his name too to neighbours. The reason why she had said that she was sitting the whole night was to tell them that they were ousted last night and to convey that she was waiting for him to take her in, to give her a chance and yet he didn't.
