Well what he meant by exact remake is regarding virat emotions almost same as rono now , we cannot say ghum is copy paste of KD yaham relation dynamic alag hai , devi tai kaku beti hai , they have a daughter and also after a point KD becomes really repeatative , aur aggeh kya hoga writers tai karega like he clearly said he is not involved in that department jho script milta hai he portrays those emotions , honestly next track seh will have to deviate because till here it's the base of the show

But it's not exact remake of original , I read people mentioning some parts r taken from tamil version 2 , so it's not exact copy from original.

In original rono denied his mother giving food to emon but here Ashwani already feeding . In Tamil version Vikram dint denied food to Saranya after throwing out of d house.

Or bhi bahut saare changes hue , so it's not exact copy of original
