@Bold - It's a combination of both, I'd say. He seldom has capable people being able to stand up to him and here she's one weak (financially), powerless (social) female but still doesn't hesitate to challenge him, nor doea she cower in fear before his power.

In addition to that, also her unwavering devotion to her family. Her family matters as much to her as his to him. Plus, this isn't her actual family or adoptive family, but rather her inlaws. (Unfortunately, the orphan reveal was just brushed under the carpet, I'm hoping the widow reveal will have more impact.)

All these things combined will help her carve a way into Anna's heart. ❤️
