She didn't like the moti roti but she defended Imlie when Adi said yeh ladki kuch bhi thik se nahi kar sakti.😆 I felt that was so insincere...praising/defending someone you barely know.😆

Aur bhi examples hai after Adi-Malini marriage, she always defended and did things for Imlie as an act of charity, to show Ts' how great she is for being able to do things for a servant when she came from a upper class background. There is a term for this in psychology but I can't recall it now. It's basically how racist people act the most supportive of other races in public to prove that they are not racist...you overcompensate your unconscious dislike/distrust of people by doing things for them and praising them. You this to suppress your true feelings but they come out in ways when you no longer can hide your true feelings from yourself. Like when Malini Didi didn't allow Imlie to attend the family dinner when Nishant bought a car, because she all along thought she was a servant. And now the way she donated her saree. I'm not sure if I can call this guilty conscience, because I don't think she feels guilty at all.😆 It's just classic upper class behaviour towards the less privileged.

This is so interesting. I binged watched Imlie recently so I might have missed parts of Malini's characterization. But I always thought why is she so super-sweet with Imlie from day 1.

From the beginning, I did see her as an emotionally weak person who needed to be coddled. Good lord she fainted when Aditya told her the truth. Any normal person would have been shocked but would have eventually worked with her fiance to help him get out of the first marriage. Not faint and then convince themselves that it was all a joke, forget about it, and to never remember it again no matter how many signs were presented in front of you that it was not a joke. The emotional trauma Aditya went through being forcefully married to a young village girl, Malini had no emotional strength to help him heal. In fact Aditya is the one who had to make up a lie and help her heal. I also saw all the problems in Aditya-Malini relationship from the beginning. Gosh the amount of times she called Aditya during his first PD trip. In the first ten episodes, she was either calling Aditya, waiting for his call, talking about him, or thinking about him. Like she had no life outside of Aditya even though she had a full-time job. Who takes a day off from work if your boyfriend is coming back from a 3-day work trip. 😆 Especially if you met him right before the trip and will meet him right after the trip and talked to him 10 times during his trip. 😆 This is not how someone behaves who feels secure in a relationship. No matter how many times she told her mother that Aditya has never given a reason to doubt him, her actions clearly showed her insecurities. And Aditya had no idea about this as he never invested more than 1 brain cell in this relationship. 😆

Even when Aditya went on the last PD trip, I saw her complete meltdown and thought jeez she needs help, but that's it. It is only after Aditya's return from PD trip that I am seeing shades of gray in her character. Not only is she an emotionally weak person, which I can understand, but she is not a genuine person at all. All the good feelings she has is only when all things around her are going as per her wish. All her sweetness evaporates the minute things go the other way.

If she lashes out at Imlie, then whatever minuscule guilt Aditya might have for Malini will fly out of the window and she will get to see a Aditya in his full-blown sun avatar. 😆 The Aditya we saw with Imlie after forced marriage will seem like the "moon" in front of the sun avatar he will become if Malini blames Imlie for anything.

But I also think, she was ready to come home without asking any questions is because he came back to her. If she feels that no matter what she does, Aditya will never come back to her, then her true colors might come out which no one has ever seen before besides us audience. 😆

Thread banaane wala kuch content nahin itna aaj😆.....Press conference was nice, loved our poised, beautiful Imliya holding center stage.....Sumbul owned that scene so wonderfully...such a star👏. Then Adi-Amma scene was nice too with him telling her not to lose a diamond like SK for a kaanch ka tukda like Dev😆.

But uske ilava toh nothing much else...... mostly Didi bakwaas hi tha😆.....The epi was kinda over for me after my guess about the sari came shockingly true🤣.....ab main sadme mein hoon ki mujhe Didi ka dimaag itna kaise samajh mein aane lagaa😲😆......I guess cuz the pettiness is just getting more obvious no matter how big a smile she tries to hide it behind.

@bold: Ahh not sure about that part yet😆.....Adi looked to have this sadme wala suffocated expression when she was yelling at him😆.....like a "get me out of here, please" mode😆.....also, Imlie obviously is overhearing this darwaaze ke baahar khade😆. Hope she stays away warna Didi se aur dose milega about giving her "privacy" with her "husband"😆.

Malini looked to be flying off the handle big time in the precap....but we all know she will flip in a second to her woe is me act....deffo aage rona dhona karegi after this yelling😆

Epi was decent....awesome bhi nahin bolungi but it's worth watching for the Imlie press conference scenes and the Adi-Amma scene :) Baaki Didi ko zone out maaro :P

@bold - word. Imlie was all kinds of cute. Her banter with Aditya was all kinds of cute. That scene before they enter was all kinds of cute. The way they power each other through is fascinating. They are each other’s strengths. If this is not what partners are for, what is even the point.

I liked Aditya and Mithi’s conversation. If there has been commendable progress on the Aditya/ Imlie front, how can anyone overlook his progress with Amma? The conversation was well placed too I thought...looks like they are not showing the press conference in PD yet or is it just print articles? They had to make Mithi a part of that occasion so phone call hi sahi.

Yeah, dunno if the PC is airing in PD....waise bhi wahaan TV kaun dekhta hai😆....bola na Imlie ne aaj ki wahaan TV hai hi nahin.....so they will likely only read the print version of this in a newspaper.

On one level, I'm kinda saddened also to see how it's turning out that there was nothing genuine about her all along.....I did initially feel that no matter how self-absorbed, she had a basic nice/kind streak....but now it's all proving to be a facade, an effective show she put on.....cuz what she said/did with the sari today - that too with that creepy smile....no genuine person would do something like that. I personally wouldn't know how to interact with a person who's managed to make herself believe her own sugary lies this effectively. Ek bhi cheez doesn't feel genuine about her. I can't even be sure if the anger in the precap is the real her.....watching her is like watching quicksand😕.
