Feroze started his spiritual journey while he was shooting for khuda and mohabbat, so I guess it's about the ishq e khuda, end of the day maybe he will not choose Mahi

From the promos there are subtle hints that he will deny Mahi, denial for what I do not know, but something she will plead and he will not give her, may be it is his life which he surrendered to Almighty, she might beg him to come back to his old self and he will refuse.
