Yes, the daal is khatti 😆 Its a Gujrati Dish which I guess was tweaked a little in our community. But is SUPER YUM 🤤. Almost always has with fried aloos and fried kala baigan. I just ate a while ago and I am already salivating 😆.
We have packets of dried tangy pickles here that we usually enjoy as a snack Arshi. Sounds like you'd enjoy it...and prolly be better than Hajmolas 😆

I love literally all of these things I don't have much experience of Gujrati cuisine but for some reason I've always had it in my head that it leans towards the sweet...am I wrong or am I wrong? Because the couple of things you've posted about recently, I feel like they're right up my street.
