I suddenly got the letter idea and I loved it when I was reading it too. 😛

Vansh had to trust her since he is putting everything in her name.

Riddhima is a quick learner and she will lead the company the same way her husband did if not better.

She will punish the enemies and protect the family and bring it closer than ever.

Hey Everyone. I hope you all are well. I am really sorry for taking so long to update. I was caught up in school work and other things. I am back with the next update. Here it is:

Part 4

It was almost midnight when Riddhima and Angre were done discussing Vansh’s business. Angre had explained everything to her starting from the employees, board members, clients, projects to Vansh’s involvement in illegal smuggling.

Riddhima wasn’t totally shocked when she learned about his smuggling as Kabir told her about this before. This is the reason she came here in the first place. But to hear it aloud from his right-hand person and knowing it’s all true did break her heart. After she got to know Vansh from inside, she was hoping it wasn’t true.

I have to do something about this. I am not going to let Vansh keep being involved in such illegal and dangerous things, Riddhima noted mentally as she was heading towards her room when suddenly someone pulled her into the storeroom. She was about to scream when that person put his hand on her mouth and said, “Shh Riddhima. It’s me. Kabir.” Kabir? Riddhima thought as she took heavy breaths calming herself down.

As soon as Kabir took his hands off her mouth, Riddhima yelled at him keeping her voice low. “What the hell is this Kabir? Yeh kya tarika hai? And what the hell are you doing here?” Kabir seemingly got mad at her and grabbed her arms before saying, “What the hell I am doing here? What the hell are you doing, Riddhima? You are supposed to find proof against Vansh but here you are busy taking care of him.”

Riddhima fumed at him and jerked his hands away from her. “Are you serious Kabir? What kind of behavior is this? You didn't ask once how I am doing but asking for proof instead. How obsessed you are with him.” Kabir came to his senses and realized how he was behaving.

“No Riddhima, I care about you. That’s why I got mad that you have to stay with him, a criminal. Listen Riddhima, Vansh is in a coma right now. His guards are completely down. This is the best time for you to find proof against him.”

Riddhima remembered how Angre told her about Vansh's involvement in smuggling and the Mafia world. She does have proof against him now, proof that she came looking for Kabir in the first place. But she is not going to tell him about that. She knows he will send Vansh to jail once he gets his hands on those. And looking at his shading behavior right now, maybe he will do much more.

No! I will not let Kabir do anything to him. He is never going to get his hands on those proofs. “No Kabir, this is the best time for me to tell you that I am not in this anymore. He is my husband and I don’t want to send him to jail.” Kabir was shocked to hear her. “What do you mean you are not in this anymore? This is the reason I sent you here. And now you are saying he is your husband. What is wrong with you? How could you think of a relationship with him?”

“You are the one who told me to get as close to him as you. And I did, maybe even more than I was ever with you. That’s how I know he is not what you are claiming him to be. He is a good person and a good husband to me. And it’s better if you stay away from him. I am sure you heard of stories of women who went to great extents for their husbands. If you try to hurt him, you will see those stories turn into reality.”

Kabir couldn’t believe his ears. He couldn't believe that the girl who could have given her life for him, who agreed to enter into Vansh’s world just to prove her love for him is now pushing him away. He doesn’t understand what happened in a few days that Riddhima changed her feelings for Vansh. “He is a criminal Riddhima.” She looked right into his eyes and said, “He is my husband Kabir.”

“Are you doing this because he transferred all his properties to you?” Kabir was so frustrated that he didn’t realize what he was spilling. Riddhima became angry at his accusation and said, “You should know me better than that Kabir. Money doesn’t matter to me, relationships do. Now leave before I call Angre.” Kabir gritted his teeth and left after giving her a murderous look.

Riddhima exhaled a deep breath as she saw Kabir leaving. This is the last thing she needed right now. With all the happenings these days, she forgot about him. She shook her head at the irony. A month ago, she thought she loved him, she wouldn’t be able to live without him and Vansh was the one standing in between them but it all seems so distant now that her mind and heart are consumed by Vansh only.

“Vansh is in a coma right now. His guards are completely down. This is the best time for you to find proof against him,” Kabir’s words ringed in her head. How could he be so heartless? He didn’t show an ounce of sympathy towards the man fighting with life and death but was obsessing with proofs. Riddhima shook her head to clear her mind and was about to leave the storeroom when something clicked in her mind.

How did Kabir know about Vansh being in a coma? I was supposed to tell him about the happenings of this house which I didn’t do. Then how does he know? He also knew that Vansh transferred his properties to her. This is something that only family members knew and no one else and I strictly told the lawyer not to tell anyone about it. Does that mean someone from the inside is giving Kabir information? Riddhima widened her eyes at the realization.

But Kabir didn’t say anything about this person. And why would he send her here if he already had someone from inside working with him? This is so confusing, Riddhima shook her head. I need to keep an eye on everyone and find that person. No way are they up to any good. I also need to keep an eye on Kabir, I don’t think it’s just some government mission. He is acting too shady for it.

Riddhima left the storeroom thinking about something and walked towards Angre’s room and knocked on his door. As a confused Angre opened the door, she entered his room without saying anything and closed the door. “I need you to keep an eye on everyone in this house, especially Mummy Ji, Aryan, and Chachi,” Riddhima said looking at him. “I understand why Aryan and Chachi but Anupriya maam?” Angre asked, confused.

“She was the one who poisoned Vansh,” Riddhima dropped the bomb on him. “What?” Angre was shocked. “How is this possible?” Riddhima gestured to him to sit and started telling him everything that happened. Angre couldn’t believe his ears, her out of everyone? “But why would she do this? She is his mother.” Riddhima rolled her eyes and said, “Stepmother to be exact. And it looks like she is doing it for the properties. Haven’t you seen her reaction before?”

Angre pondered over it for a while and said ok. What she said next shocked him even more. “I also want you to keep an eye on Kabir.” Say who again? “Kabir! As in the inspector Kabir Sharma?” Riddhima nodded at him, “I am sure you know the reason I came here in the first place. Vansh must have told you everything. You both know that I came on someone’s saying but what you don’t know is Kabir is the one who sent me.”

She started telling everything starting from her meeting Kabir as a PT teacher, proposing to him, him asking her to spy on Vansh to telling her to marry him, to Ragini, everything.

Angre couldn’t believe his ears, That good for nothing inspector! I guess we underestimated him. “How the hell did you even like him?” Angre commented to which Riddima rolled her eyes. “I was looking for a person who would love me, give me a family, have stability and security and he presented himself like that so I was thinking why not? But that’s not our concern anymore. He seems way too shady to be just working like an honest police officer trying to protect the country. You are the only one I can trust right now and that’s why I am asking you to keep an eye on him.”

Angre nodded at her and said, “Don’t worry bhabhi. I will put my men on this work. Thank you for trusting me.” She nodded at him and was about to leave when he asked, “Do you trust boss now?” Riddhima stopped in her tracks and said, “I guess I always trusted him. I just didn’t want to admit it to myself.”

“Good night Angre.”

“Good night Bhabhi.”

She left for her room after giving him a small smile. Closing the door, she turned to Vansh whose face was glowing under moonlight. Now that she knows what her priority is, she felt more peace than the last few days. She had more clarity about the situation and she is determined to make their future better than their present.
