Dil Chahata Hai worth watching?

I wanted to see the films which i never got to see because i dont watch movies on a regular basis but i just played this film on youtube and its the most lengthy film of about 3 hours , should i go for it or opt for other old film........most recently i watched Dosti 2005

If you have watched a lot of urban coming-of-age dramas in Bollywood then not really, because all those films were inspired by Dil Chahta Hai.

So you're not going to be blown away by the film because you wouldn't find anything innovative in it. After watching all the recycled and copycat stuff, original is not going to impress you.

DCH started a new genre for films, but after 20 years there are more than enough films in this genre to make it just any other film.

exactly i too heard that dil chahta hai was a turning point for bollywood films although lately many films must have been made with same plot
