It is irritating and IMO could perhaps even play a small role in the TRP part.

The Monday episode being available on Friday would've meant most folks already having seen it online. Keeping it delayed means a greater chance for some of them to catch it on TV.

They did it for the Abhi death episode and now this

Not accusing them of favouritism towards any fandom- I honestly haven't tracked the timings enough to pass an informed comment, but the inconsistency, as you said, is very annoying.
