Dont think Sai's impulsive actions can be equated to "not giving a damn about" virat and not "prioritising" him. Yes shes wrong to do everything on her own but in her head she has her reasons. She tried to involve virat many times but something or the other happened to prevent that from happening. That’s a really good view point. I was thinking about why Sai was not telling Virat but your point about ‘trusting Virat to deal with the fall-out’ is key. Sai most likely feels she has no choice but to get them married quickly before the family have time to make further plans.

Sai obviously cares about him and his opinion. He is the only one she is vulnerable for currently. She cares for him and is affected by him. Even in her obstinacy in devkit matter arises from her care for Virat. It is for his sister that she is doing all this and I kinda understand her urgency based on the kidnapping that went on last week. She knows that the Senior Chavans will never accept the marriage and doesn't want them to cause more harm. Her only foolishness is she is hiding all this from Virat. At least tell him, if he agrees or doesn't , clear it out first. She is naive and is believing that the repercussions will be on the smaller scale.

It is unfair to say that she did not care for Virat. I am sure she wouldn’t have objected even if Virat completed the kiss.. She is equally besotted with him but right then could not divert herself from Devi Tai issue.

Remember even she mentioned to Usha mausi when she said this might create misunderstandings between you two, she immediately said nothing will happen....
