I don't know... I guess they left it open so that they can bring an ex in if the story demands it. But from the way he spoke about love in the first episode, it's as if he felt that experience of loving someone like crazy. It didn't sound like he was speaking hypothetically. Let's see.

Yes, he did, I remember. That's why I assumed she did something or accused him wrongly, which resulted in an angry mob showing up at his house and hurting his family. That's probably why the Anjali scandal bothered him so much.
