Also, I lowkey don't want it to be a dream. Maybe because when I expect mysogeny from Shaurya I also expect him to lose control like he did today. But what I am here for is to witness some great character development and I am hoping against hope for that.

Plus, the entire reason to make this post was that I don't feel it's right to justify Shaurya's every action by blaming it on his upbringing. Yes we can understand his reasons but to justify his actions based on it is absolitely unfair to every other character.

(Although the way he shouted I was genuinely taken aback. Heck, I legit shivered.)

Also, ACP was nowhere wrong today. They guy was fine.

And even I am excited to see how makers deal with this ...and I hope they will do justice and present a relationship that is not toxic.

So, I would prefer the whole scene to be in Shaurya's head to show that he has grown up from bursting directly at people. We have seen him do it to Anokhi and Astha.. Ab bass... There has to be some change after whole long sorry sequence.

If all this was in his head, it is still an indication of ghatiya soch. He still hasn't changed his thinking but he can control his anger and has learnt something.

Now coming to what if - it's not a dream.. In that case, I don't want him to just apologize to Anokhi because of his so called unrealized feelings for her but to Ahir as well. He actually threaded Ahir in worse possible way too! It's not acceptable for anyone, so ideally there should not be any gender biases there even while saying sorry.

Though I do have some hopes of it being in his head, I see some valid reasons why it wouldn't be:

1. Contrast in spectrum, while one respected Anokhi's opinion another asked her to shut up.

2. He read Anokhi's mind🤣 in his mind that he was following her..

3. The face off music was typical Shaurya music.

4. Apparently, there was ShaDev scene in between..

Yes, everybody is entitled to their opinion. But it’s also important to understand what is right and wrong here. And standing up for what is right ,this applies in any relationship, be it friends, colleagues parent-child, husband-wife, spouse-in Laws. A parent doesn’t hesitate in correcting a child when their behavior is bad! Nobody is saying the child himself/herself is inherently bad. Same with all the talk about Shaurya! When he insulted Anokhi in the library, it was a big no-no for all. But yesterday just because of Ahir’s presence, Shaurya’s words and spite doesn’t become deserving or right!

I am sure everybody supporting Shaurya’s behavior yesterday will run the second they have a husband like him. 😁It is of course easy to romanticize it because hey, he’s handsome, and we know that andar se toh woh bahut accha hain. But living with a misogynistic is far from anything romantic! Which is why we all want him to slowly change, for better, for Anokhi, for who he truly is.

I expect Shaurya to change because this is ITV. In real life, gosh, this would actually require years of professional counseling and not just a medication called Loveria.

I have built in so many scenarios in my head about how Shaurya can keep bringing up his soch, resulting in Anokhi pushing him away but accepting him with the fault and changing it slowly...

1. Once he finds about Noor and Shaan, he can blast at Astha in front of Anokhi making her realize Shaurya has a wife-checklist where she wouldn't just fit.

2. Not knowing Anokhi's parents by face, he meets them and ends up bringing his choti soch about the dysfunctional family where one daughter is on verge of divorce, one ran away from mandap and one just shot his mother... That would hurt Anokhi, but that's just how soch can change...

3. Once they are married, he can problem hide all the acceptance letters and offers Anokhi receives to study or work to ensure she is always close to him. But Anokhi finds them and blasts at him for the serious offense.

Apart from the soch from Shaurya's, that whole family is a maniac. I do want to see Gayatri and Kanchan growing professionally. Kanchan can be marriage counselor 🤣and Gayatri can be whatever her qualifications are based.

I havnt watched the episode yet but seeing him w the butter knife, holding it like that (as if to murder someone...ekkkk), hearing that he yelled at her - all things wrong. Just bc a person is good doesn't mean that their mistakes shouldn't be pointed out to be improved upon. I think that's also one of the things he loves abt Anokhi bc she can take a stand and call him out when he is wrong.

In real life too, when our loved one does something wrong, we call them out as well. We don't 'okay baby there there' them bc we love them. Love comes with all sorts of sweetness as well as toughness so this post is bang on.

Though we love him, his antics cant be excused.

However, I feel like we will see this Shaurya time and time again in diff ways - kal anokhi pe attack kiya toh aaj acp pe. Something else tomorrow. Until he improves and changes for good, we will have to brace for impact...thats if they show his progression..which Im hopeful they will. So I hope there's a nice balance between social message, character progression and love story!

@Bold- This!

You see that's the whole point. I can find reasons behind his actions but I won't reason with his behaviour. In simple words, he character assassinated ACP, he insulted Anokhi and Ahir, and this time he even insulted himself.

No apology is always better than a hollow apology.

The only growth I saw in him today was that he questioned himself first about his own feelings and his anger was not meant to be directed towards Anokhi. And that was really some growth. (I have watched the scene many times and I tried reading between the lines)

But somehow he couldn't bear her cutting him off while he was talking ACP. Reason- he was blind with rage. But if we look deeper it was not just rage but it was his insecurities and refusal to hear anything that he didn't want to hear too.

And his behaviour with Ahir (more than Anokhi) was absolutely disgusting

Also, even I have my Hopes that they will handle this tenderly and would not try to encourage this kind of toxicity.

(Because at the end possessive and angry ML are the definition of hot in the market and they sell like bread and butter to audience)

Pooja you won't believe I legit saw Kabir Singh memes on Shaurya's behaviour (in favour) and I was appalled.

Oh I am going to bash Shaurya today and bash him real bad. I am going to see things only from one side and try to read him differently, or more negatively to be correct.

Shaurya has always been overindulged by Devi and co. Whatever he has asked for was provided. He even throws tantrums when things don't go his way. He thinks too high of himself. Everybody loves him wherever he goes. I don't understand why he feels unloved. Can he see through Devi's veil of greatness and realise that her love is conditional? But the way he worships her and is awestruck by her I doubt that. I understand he feels abandoned by his parents. But in the Sabharwal house, he is still the first priority for everyone. His opinion is given utmost importance. He has always been told that whatever he was doing was right. This has gone to his head. It is all about his ego now. Even when he speaks about his ideal life partner he says that his ego should not be hurt. For a woman, only self respect is enough, but for man, the ego is most important. He insulted Shagun like anything, could not wait for her even 2 years. He could never tell her that he did not love her, that he agreed to her only because she fulfilled his checklist. He was never honest with her. He is impressed by some of Anokhi's qualities and has now become over possessive and assumes that she has to act according to his will. He insults Ahir for just being there with Anokhi. He uses his power to show people their place. He is never willing to see the other side of things. Forget about his Mom, he has blinded himself to the plight of his grandparents. And he wants Anokhi to understand him. How can a an educated professor be so narrow minded? He is supposedly still stuck in his childhood.

So he needs to be treated like a child. Someone should smack him on his bu** and teach him how to behave. Anokhi cannot do that. I would want Aastha to do the honours. I get it that she is responsible for the way he turned out and she has not right to tell him what to do. Still, out of all his elders, only she has the intention, insight and strength to show him what is wrong and right. 25 years may be a long time, but it is better late than never. (And because I want some more scenes of Shaurya and Aastha)

Ok. Now I will run and hide.

@bold : Because in our society this kind of possessiveness which is actually toxic is seen as a sign of love. It is seen as a sign of bein macho. Wrongful use of power to protect your love is appreciated. People appreciating SS's behaviour may think like this wow he can go to this extent for his love that all other men cannot even think of befriending his girl.

I think he should man up and act like a gentleman to woo his lady.love rather than restricting her freedom and he can deal with other men like Ahir by being savage, witty so that it shows he is has got a class while dealing with things.

Edit : When SS was dhamkaoing Ahir honestly it felt like schoolboy saying ki meri mummy school mein teacher hai, mujhse panga lia ya mere khillaf kuch kia toh teri complain kara dunga mummy se keh ke.

I really should watch today's episode.

I think the cutting off may also have been his ego: "if im tlking, why are you meddling in between!?" sorts where when he is leading, he wants his woman behind him as a silent spectator than be beside him to call him out to "talk in between". To him it might be, "you can point out what I do and say between you and me...but why are you defending him!? You should always side w me"...that's that it reeks off to me so far..another terrible soch of his.

I hope he comes to some realization and they handle it well as well. I dont like the comparison w kabir singh and ive been seeing that on twitter too much lately. Kabir singh isnt the guy to be fond of and look upon. We dont like shaurya bc of his regressiveness...we fell in love only when he showed us his soft side. We never loved him when he was rookha in the beginning or when he told shagun whatever we said. I only started to grow into of him starting astha mam jaap track and v-day and the ragging wala hug...
