Pushed myself through the Malini scene for a rewatch. What was that bakwaas? Not only her own weaknesses, Malini clearly does not understand what being a modern woman or not means. Which is why I think when the whole Imlie thing surfaces, it will be her pride that will take the most beating ki yeh gaon ki ladki Aditya ke liye sahi kaise hai.

What Malini fails to understand is that while the sindoor and mangalsutra maybe be symbolic of the relationship, of utmost importance is the relationship itself. And that honesty is the backbone for that relationship to thrive which neither she nor Aditya is able to bring forth.

Well that insecurity has been there since a few days, right? I had to laugh so hard at that..I was like tum samjhi hi nahi adi ko behan🤣 If you think ab adi tumhein kabhi contact nahi karega and you have sent him away for good 😆 but it was heartbreaking too as the way her voice was cracking ke ab nahi Lautne wala woh itna naaraz karke bheja main ne usse but lol hehe very next morning he is here caz her daant her pushing him away just rings hollow on his mind caz he knows deep down how much she wants him too .

I was also feeling bad for her not wanting to celebrate holi ke na Amma hain na babusahib and just in time he shows up ke ghar chalo and celebrate hahaha

I am pretty sure yeh hostel main bhi ek announcement karega ke patni hai humari koi airi ghairi nahi 😆

Also, it looks like in the jakraata, Adi is going to do something weird which will hurt Malini and AC will again "bharo her kaan"... So wonder if something with sindoor will come up again during that time? Remember the marriage jakraata, the pandit had said to maang bharo but Imlie was there and Adi didnt do it ...may be it happens this time due to destiny by mistake but Malini still feels hurt as she was not the one...

Guys imlie ki insecurity is because of bs cinema activity with moon 😆uske dimaag mein unke pyaar ki pda buri tarah chap chuke hai. .

bs insecurity is because of his previous behaviour and kaam tha toh he joined moon in his company 😆so choti si ladki finds difficult to think he misses me..aur didi ke liye bhi bahut saara pyaar hai 😆

I feel imlie ka didi wala pyaar le dubega adi ko😆 he going to get super angry if she continues to push him away because banda bada impulse nature ka hai can't wait to hear also wheather she is okay with hand catching or not ..seedha lapak liya...😆

But this is why I get irritated with her. Now she has said her wish to everyone & when he returns already coloured she will get upset, cry over it & present Adi as some kind of a bad husband who did not complete her simple wish😆. Again making an issue out of nothing.

I don't understand how she expects to resolve the distance between them if they do not communicate. If Adi is not talking to her himself, are you going to let the issue fester? Har dusri baat pe toh badi zidd karti hai, baat karne ke liye bhi zidd kar sakti hai.

Or is it again an ego issue for her ki why should she make the first move? If you want to improve your relationship & your partner is not showing interest, then you will have to take the initiative. Aise toh problem kabhi solve hogi hi nahi.

One more prediction I will make is that she will get upset with Imlie's warm welcome by the family. I for sure know that they will give a warmer welcome back to Imlie than they gave to Malini because there is more apnapan in Imlie's bond with the family.

@bold - An Aditya with Imlie in the house is not going to do anything that the family asks for I think. I have a feeling Imlie’s entry is going to be such a big event that everyone will just start playing Holi. Even ACs taunts will probably not matter to the family this time around. Sirf Malini pe kuch asar ho sakta hai shaayad. But that’s just me 😆 Sab ulta bhi ho sakta hai

Edit: Waise AC ki khair nahin agar usne Imlie ko naukrani kaha. Iss baar dhulayi Aditya khud karega

Yes, he can see it but she is not giving him direct answers so he is not sure what her thoughts are regarding him.... its that feeling of new love plus uncertainty that may be I am seeing things because I want to. Plus her walking away from him is something he is not experienced before so it really pricks him that she can do it so easily where as he cannot even think about doing it.... He is never been in love so all this ocean of new feeling are coming to forefront for him and he does not know how to handle them..... He also has no one with whom he can share this with or get advice on how to handle things, or what his next steps should be.... most of the times parents or family unknowingly give you the right direction, he looked so lonely and lost in that room holding on to that shirt as if its his anchor where nothing is as he wants it to be. 😊

Malini is the kind of pseudo/fake feminist modern woman who are educated, earn for themselves & make sweeping judgements about other women's way of dealing with things without checking their own privilege.

I remember the episode when the T family found married women jewellery in Imlie's belonging returned by the hospital & feared that she had been married & abandoned. That time Malini was saying that if she finds Imlie's husband she would slap him & teach him a lesson for behaving this way with his wife.

But what did she herself do when she made such a big issue out of Adi leaving home for work purposes & she felt he has not treated her right? She punished his family as well as her own with her 24*7 crying, hunger strike to eventually falling into the same husband's arms. She knew he was behaving distantly from her, was suspicious that he was maybe having an affair but still returned with him without even scolding him. If she felt that Adi is not treating her right as a husband why is not holding him accountable for his mistakes & ready to sweep everything under the carpet just so that she doesn't lose him.

Modernity is only in the outer package internally she is as regressive as they come with attaching her own self worth with small things such as cakes, cooking for her husband, not holding husband accountable for his mistakes as long as he grovels in front of her. She looks for validation in such ridiculous things it's unbelievable.

I had raised this question in one of my previous posts that whether Malini would be more upset that Adi has fallen in love with someone else or that he has fallen in love with Imlie. Malini does not consider Imlie as a competition because on paper Malini is better than her in every way that matters be it her background, education, profession. That is why she is able to dismiss any of the obvious signs that show Adi's more than necessary concern for Imlie like Adi's outburst at her & her mom in Imlie's defense or Adi rescuing Imlie without even registering her own presence during the bridge collapse even after her mom's repeated suspicions.

I do think she will be more hurt that Adi has fallen for Imlie- a simple village girl who on paper falls short in everything that Malini excels in. She will not be able to understand how she could be defeated by Imlie when she is the better option. Maybe later on she will be able to understand that Adi has found the qualities that he expects from his life partner in Imlie. Let's see what the makers show.
