Victim : Emil , Murderer : Thanos . Motive : Thanos is an helpful Villain .Thanos is a Titan, and he watched his home world die due to a lack of natural resources. There were too many people, but not enough food to feed everyone. His solution was simple, fair and brutal: He would kill half the population by random drawing

MCU fans : Don't Kill me after reading this theory🤣

Theory : Long before Thanos found the infinity stones, he was wondering to every planet and destroying half of the population to restore the balance. After one such tedious trip, he visited Earth. A planet he knows hold so many secrets that he couldn't destroy it yet. So he used Earth as a kind of a Vacation spot when his mood suits after all destroying half a planet can be exhausting.

But just because he was on Vacation doesn't mean he stopped living his purpose. So on his visits, he tends to be helpful to his fellow Villains who were able to restore Earth balance in the meantime. It was how he met Emil's Client, Let us call him Jimmy. While the human was far lower in Thanos hierarchy with just two murders, he still felt a soft spot for him for being able to kill his parents who never accepted him and then blame his boyfriend instead for the crime because he broke up with him.

So when one day Thanos heard from his next in rank that Jimmy was having trouble because his lawyer found evidence against him, he had to help .After all It was Thanos Idea, Jimmy was trying to make a reality . Jimmy looked up to Thanos and was willing to kill half of London to make a start on Thanos plans for the future. But Jimmy's lawyer found out and had been threatening him to surrender himself or that he will be forced to go to the poilce with the truth .

Since Jimmy lacked Experience, Thanos order two of his well trained murderers to kill Emil and make it look like a Suicide and also to burn the documents that could be found in the safe. They returned to report everything worked well except that one of them hit the desk accidentally and may have left behind their blood as evidence but they assured Thanos that they will never be caught just by that and they are already leaving Earth tonight . And will stay away for awhile.

Thanos payed them enough for their work and also hoped they would kill enough people in the future before their death finally caught up with them as well. So the next day, Thanos had been waiting for Jimmy to visit and get the explosives , he never met humans in person but he was curious to see how Jimmy felt that he waited in the shadows , it was bit impossible for a man his stature, but the abandoned warehouse was mostly shrouded in dark that he was able to see Jimmy looking happy as he got the explosives from his fellow human comrades.

"So who killed the Lawyer of yours" One of them asked when Jimmy told them about Emil's death

"Don't know but Someone who will be in Prison soon. Because I heard Sherlock Holmes already solved the case, I went to plead with Emil again or as our boss said maybe kill him too. But he was already dead and John Watson, that was his name has been talking with someone and said that Sherlock Holmes already solved the murder. So it won't be long for the murderer to be caught.

" Who is this Sherlock ?" Someone else asked which was fortunate because Thanos was curious as well. And so he listened as Jimmy began to explain in detail about the man called Sherlock Holmes who can solve any case .

Thanos didn't know if Sherlock knew he was behind the orders to murder Emil, but he didn't want to find out not when he got a purpose to live for and so he left Earth the same night as well. But sometime he used to wonder If Sherlock really knew he was the Killer or he was just bluffing , though he never found it out. Because Jimmy did go to Prison because apparently Emil had saved another copy of the evidences.

It was also the reason Thanos never destroyed Earth at the first chance he got because these humans shown themselves to be smarter at times than he anticipated and he wanted to wait and see what else they could do on their own as well.
