I did not expect this from SSP.. how beautifully they portrayed love n relations in their last show... Baki kuchh show dekhe nai maine but I guess ye unaki speciality hai.. ke husband wife ke rishte ko khubsurti se dikhana..N unake kisi ML ne do shadiyan nai ki he.. sivaye Ani ke..correct ma please Caz i don't know exactly

Yess Mugs (is that okay?😳), all of the SSP shows until now have portrayed relationships in a very beautiful way. They too show romance and all, but their storylines are more focused on the deep meaning of relationships, unlike other love stories or dramas. Plus, their MLs are very faithful and most importantly, have respect towards women. There was a show called Diya Aur Baati Hum in which the ML, himself being uneducated, goes to great lengths to make her wife an IPS officer. Almost all of their shows mainly deals with a concept of the husband fulfilling the wife's dream, even at the cost of their own dreams, unlike other saas-bahu dramas where FL is the ultimate sacrificial devi.

But I don't know what made the makers of this show portray such regressive kind of women empowerment, or maybe in the process of making their ML extremely heroic, they completely overlooked the basic issues with woman and even going to the extent of shaming their FL and portraying them in the negative light.

Yes, some people are there who are continuously supporting Ani. And after yesterday's episode was aired (I don't know what they understood) some fans who were opposing the track till now have also joined the group of supporting the track. According to them, everything is cleared now () and they have UNDERSTOOD why Ani took the extreme step! They have no problem with a real second marriage, and some are even saying that the marriage is fake because Ani said so😕

Lagta hai makers jo chahte the, wo ho gaya. Jo bhi kuch umeed thi ke shayad bashing ki wajah se wo samaj jaye ki kya galat hai aur Ani ko realize karwa de, wo saari doob gayi aj. 🥺

Don't keep any expectations from the show henceforth, it is too futile.

And as far the suporters are concerned,they are too blinded and dazzled by ARC to grow the spine to deduce what is right and what is wrong.

I wonder how progressive and open minded these people are , who support polygamy and love confessions and human emotions.

What troubles me most about this track is that a young girl is penalised, shamed, and emotionally tortured just for admitting her budding desire for her husband, even while she is fully unaware of the nature of that desire. Instead of giving her a secure and safe space to grow amidst the confusing messages of society versus her own thought-process, ARC is crushing the blossoming bud, Bondita.

In Indian society, it was never okay for women to have desires, much less to express them. Bondita is a pure-hearted and innocent being, who is going through the normal process of physical and emotional puberty. 1. To gang up on a young girl not yet in her teens, and shame her publicly for her devotion and attachment to her husband is just plain cruel

2. To distance himself from her so thoroughly was a shock, and to conscript the services of Bondita's own mother and to distance her from the two people who she trusted with all her heart is a sadistic travesty.

3. To commit polygamy under the guise of teaching young Bondita a lesson, when she is unable to comprehend her so-called mistake of being infatuated with her husband is revengeful and regressive.

4. To bring down the wrath and disapproval of then entire patriarchal society for no fault of her own is to crush all enthusiasm, creativity, and ambition in Bondita.

5. To hold Bondita solely responsible and punish her for society's regressive practice of child marriage, and its attending evils, is not only unjust but an irredemable act.

Under the guise of making Bondita "see the light" there are extreme steps that will neither "reform" Bondita, nor the patriarchal society in which is trapped.

Actually they could have used this situation to portray something really non-stereotypical - the phase of a young teen and what does he/she goes through in such a vulnerable age; that it is NOT a sin or something wrong to have these kind of feelings at this age; how one should address these issues because it acts as the stepping stone of their growing personality, etc. This could have been really something out of the box for ITV where shows are mostly regressive and portrays women as an ideal figure of sacrifice and greatness. Also, it would have been a great message to the viewers because a lot of young parents finds it troublesome to handle a young teen who just entered puberty.

But no, they chose to portray these things as erroneous and in a negative light, which is what a lot of families actually misunderstand. It would have been better if they haven't opted only for a sensitive subject like this because through this they are encouraging the already misplaced ideals of the society.
