Sai POV
Sai was lying on Virat’s side of the bed. She has been crying for the past hour. It’s not been a good couple of days. Virat had to leave for training suddenly and she didn’t get a chance to talk to him. Their last conversation about Devi tais situation ended with him walking out of the room with Pakhi.
She tried her best to collect proof from the college office but failed at it. As usual everyone in the house is taunting her for Devi tais situation. They banned her from meeting tai but aai seeing her condition let her meet tai in secret. She recalled how even in that condition tai didn’t blame her and believed in her to find the truth.
Sai couldn’t stop crying. Things were getting more convoluted. It’s going over her head and she needed to talk to Virat sir. But they keep missing each other’s calls. She decided to wait for him before doing anything else to worsen the situation. To be honest, Devi tais situation was not the only reason she was upset.
This was the first time Virat was not with her after their marriage. She was so used to him that she never imagined how it would be without him. Now she realised how much she needs him, he grounds her and controls her worst impulses. She hasn’t slept properly since he left and everything in her room remind s her of him. She can’t do it anymore she needs to atleast hear his voice.
She calls him and finally he picks up. But when she said hello, her heart stopped when she heard a woman pick up.
“ Virat abi busy hai. Mein bolungi tujhe bad mein call Karne ki. If you need help urgently call the local cop. It’s too late to call a known cop who is off duty”
She cut the call and before she cut the call she could hear some laughter and lively music behind
Sai didn’t know what came over her. She threw her phone on the bed. And broke down sobbing. Kis Haq se ro rahi ho? You were the one who gave him the right to flirt with anyone. Why does it bother you so much now? It’s a deal marriage and you keep reminding him. Why are you being dramatic now? Plus even otherwise Virat sir is not someone who would cross lines. Gather yourself Sai.
Nothing she says to calm herself down is working. She can just keep hearing the woman’s voice over and over again. She feels like she is going mad. Does she not trust Virat sir? Of course she does. She doesn’t trust the woman around him. He is so naive, look at how he is with Pakhi didi. He doesn’t realise her intentions. He is way too kind and gullible. What if they take advantage of my handsome and sweet husband ? Oh wait, when did you start thinking of Virat sir like that. Stop this nonsense, Sai. Just stop it and go sleep. Don’t behave like a typical wife.
To no avail, she kept turning and tossing in her bed. Her husbands ACP senses shuts off if anyone talks sweetly. He can easily be fooled by those abla nari type ladies. I don’t know if he is gone for training or to have fun. Mein kuch karna padega.
