Today's episode was more dedicated to Shaan-Aastha than Shakhi which was fair. We can do a epi without Shakhi, can't we? Other fandoms get 5-0 mins of screentime for their leads per week. We are more than lucky. They needed to show some progress in Shaan and his Noor's case. Shaan ki life mein Aastha thi, Aastha hain or Aastha rahegi. Let's see what he does now. In this episode:
Shaurya: Writer ne saare one-liners isiko diye. Meri bechari Anokhi has none. First, he gets caught by his parents with Anokhi in Shaan's apartment. As it is, he is struggling to say sorry. And now Shaan misunderstands him too. I know it was not the case but the type of person Shaurya is, he will hold it against Shaan. Shaan rightfully made it clear to him ki Anokhi ko usne madad ki, ehsaan nahi. Now Mr. Angry Young Man will sulk alone once again. Kyu? Saberwal Prince ko indirect mile who bhi apne Dad se. I thought we would get another power-packed Shaurya-Shaan scene but they changed it to Saberwal mansion. Shaurya seemed disturbed with the idea of his parents' divorce. I still don't understand why. At core, he hates Aastha. He wants his dad away from that woman. Then why is he unsure when the paper are signed? Ye dekhna padega. Kya pata at the end he stops the divorce himself! (Nahi karega, par phir bhi) At morning, he reaches Anokhi's apartment again. I don't know what was the problem that as soon as he saw ACP, he hid behind the wall. That was strange. He hasn't ever shied away from Ahir. So why now? One good thing I noticed, he kept his jealousy/possessiveness on check. He was annoyed with Ahir I agree. Here comes the one-liner "Ye ACP hain ki watchman? Isko iske ilawa kisi aur case mein interest nahi hoga" I got his irritation and I relate to it. Thank god he didn't let it take over him. His focus was on stopping Anokhi throughout. The last scene was where I laughed the most. what was this spider-man giri? He is really a kid! When he has to, he can't act. And when he acts, it comes out in this atrangi fashion. Underline this: Ahir will have a wild comeback tomorrow. Shakhi scene ka pata nahi, we are getting a ShauHir scene for sure.
Anokhi: "Itna bada college chodkar ja rahi hain, lekin phir bhi has rahi hain" If I think of it, I would be surprised (read shocked) too. SIAC is her dream college. She crossed so many hurdles to study here. She worked so hard. And now she doesn't look a tad bit sad to leave this place. I know Self-respect means more to her. But if I keep myself in her place, I won't be as happy. One, all of Shaurya's words will keep resonating in my mind. Two, I would be sad because my efforts went in vain. Three, I would tensed thinking of what I would do when I return to Kapurthala. No matter how much I would try to hide, I won't be able to. What she is going through is not something that can be hidden well. Anokhi leaving with that smiling face didn't seem realistic to me.
Shaan: I am so sad for him. All his life he has been pining for one woman. And now he has officially lost the relationship with that woman. Anyone would say that if they are estranged for so long, why is it hard to give divorce. I thought that for once too. But as I am writing this, I feel their names on a single piece of paper called a marriage certificate meant hope to both of them. Somewhere they both hoped that at one point in life, they will fulfill all their responsibilities and then come to live together. It was a hope that the relationship was still waiting for a chance. But I must say, the people they took this divorce for aren't worth it. Gayatri and Kanchan should be strong enough to fight for themselves. They shouldn't need someone to break his marriage so they get to stay in a hollow mansion. They don't know but Shaan does. He should have thought hundred times before agreeing to this deal. As Shaurya says, all decisions can't be made based on emotions. It is a different story that he is the most emotional character in this story. Back to Shaan. I love that he has a plan under his sleeves.
Aastha: after Shaurya, it is Shaan that she cried for. Must say the woman is strong. She got ready for the divorce in an instant. That too for Gayatri and Kanchan? Kanchan, who she didn't know before a month? Bade selfless log hain. Aur bewakoof bhi. Here she should inspire them to fight against injustice and there she is breaking her own meaningful relationship to save two meaningless ones. Wow! I love how she protected Anokhi from Devi as well. Wish she could save her own son from this lady. If Shaurya was brought up by Aastha, he would have been something different.
Devi-Tej-Alok: "Bina labor pain sahe beta jo mil gaya apkko" apt for her. This is why she couldn't be a true mother to Shaurya. I heard somewhere that when a woman gives birth, 30 of her bones can break. If a woman can break 30 bones of her body to bring a life to this earth, she can do anything for that life. Aastha has done it. She was strong enough to leave her little son with Saberwals so he can have a bright future. But Devi? she hasn't. She just took care of him which could have been done by any babysitter too. The mother-son relationship is just a namesake. If Shaurya really considered Devi his mother, he would have shared his conflicting feelings regarding Anokhi with her by now. If not Devi, then Tej, else Alok. There three have tried hard to keep the heir of their family to themselves. Sadly, none of them could come so close to him. Now that he has such conflicted feelings for someone, now that he has caused a huge blunder, he cannot go to either of them. What is the meaning of such a family? Till now all they interested in is to know how to keep Aastha away from Shaan-Shaurya. Shaurya kya sach much ka heera hain ki tumlog ise itna sambhal kar rakhte ho? Bas rakhte hi ho, you cannot understand him.
Kitty-Bebo-AA: AA is back. Kyu aya? Kisne bulaya? Wapas kab jaoge? Anyways, now that he is back, I don't think it will have anything to do with Anokhi. I feel like he will try to molest Kitty now. Kitty looked a bit uncomfortable to Anmol's advances. Now she will understand what it feels like when a guy touches a girl with bad intentions. Though I would never hope for something untoward to happen to her, I think this will make Shaurya realize what he has done with Anokhi as well. Shaurya, of course, didn't try to kiss her, but the suggestions he made were nothing less. They can show he attempted to molest Kitty and she got saved. The purpose would be served in that case too.
