I also miss GHSP very much.. I couldn't watch it when it was actually originally airing on TV the first time..
Due to two reasons.
1. I had my 12th board exams coming up that year.
2. My mom prevented me from watching the show as she felt the content was not meant for teenagers to watch. I mean Geet's pregnancy and re-marriage to Maan.. she thought the content was too much adult like.
So I couldn't.
But over the past year, courtesy the COVID-19 lockdown imposed in India, I was able to watch all episodes of Geet on Hoststar. And I watch it repeatedly without getting bored even a little bit. It is so much fun watching nok jhok between Geet and Maan and also their cute romance on screen. No other television serial can re-create the MAANEET magic. Neither does GHSP have the regular content like in saas bahu shows as they are today.
Don't know what has happened to serial creatives these days.
Miss MAANEET to the core... nothing can ever bring their magic back! Hope to see them together on the screen once again if they decide to partner for a show or interview or anything.. i can do anything to watch them share screen space together all over again.
Both Drashti and Gurmeet have said in different interviews they gave after Geet ended that they have moved on and would like to explore new areas of work and different storylines or characters. So I really doubt there would be a sequel to GHSP.

I used to watch the episodes online (memory unlocked hence the sharing). I don't live in India so I had to wait for the episodes to be uploaded after it aired in India. I calculated the time difference between India and my place which was a great thing as prior I had many issues with math and the fact that I solved such a complicated thing on my own with my own initiative helped me a lot with maths lol
I am happy you got to experience Geet. It is still such a refreshing show even after 10 years.
I feel like creatives target a different age demographic today, which isn't bad but I really just want to see a well developed desi love story without family butting in and also a strong female lead who doesn't chase after a guy. *sigh* Geet was it all.
But all you guys!!!
There is one thing!
Geet and Maan are still alive here, right with us, because of us, through this wonderful platform called India-Forums. And I am glad to have become a part of this Forum.
After being disappointed at Abhinav reception, never thought we'd get to see this... Thanks to Debina for posting the original photo. It's good...
