Thank you ❤️ for saying this you have no idea how much I wanted to hear this today

I have been shamed quite often in the Extended fam for being extremely ambitious.

Having a late marriage

For walking out of a toxic abusive relationship and having the guts to speak publicly about it.

The reason I so so is to give hope that yes u can survive any thing as long as u have courage

I was not invited for functions and was for a short time isolated. But I must admit I was lucky my older bro and Bhabhi stood by me and at one such instance in his function when someone said anything ..he did tell them quite loudly do u feed her , do u clothe her no right she does so herself ..she has some dignity and self respect.

Somehow that day some perception changed either due to my crazy bro who is known for his temper or some other thing

Yesterday again someone remarked on my frantic attempt to get back to work after my 4 year break for child care. That I am selfish in my ambition

Is it wrong to want a better life for my child

That's OK! 🤗❤️

First of all I want to say well done! 👏

You have been so strong to resist all that pressure from hypocrite/misguided relatives, and doing what is right for you! Kudos to your bro and SIL for supporting you too, our society needs more people like them...

And how on Earth can people be calling you selfish for getting back to work after FOUR years?? I know some women who went back after just six weeks and many who went after one year maternity leave, I think you have made a big sacrifice as it is, and any longer amount of time away from work would just make it very difficult for you to find a job again...

I think some people from the older generation (and unfortunately some millennials and even Gen Z too) just think mothers shouldn't work at all if it can be helped...

And they know that would be met with a lot of anger from many people nowadays, so they just express that view in an indirect way with absurd statements like that one...

Kavya gonna take advantage of this super smart move of anupama 🤢

Lmao so basically our Ati Buddhimaan Tyaag Devi Anupama’s genius ideas of bringing Kavya into the house, then giving the papers to Vanraj May result in the whole Shah family living in Kavya’s house from here 💀

Anupama of today is very different from the one before Vanraj's affair became public. Today, she does have options open for her. She has realised she can stand on her feet. When she then chooses options that demean her self respect, it is very difficult to empathise with her. Let alone sympathise for her.

Her role as a mother is a very important part of who she is. But, it should not be what defines her as a whole. But, that is the choice she seems to have made. I can't agree with the CVs here. A parent teaches by example as well. She is perpetuating the perception with her children that she can be treated any which way. She pushes back Samar and Kinjal to conform with her ideals because they listen to her. Toshu and Pakhi are exempt. Why?

Baa just drives me mad. She is innately selfish and appallingly rude. Not connected with your topic, but I needed to say it 😆As they say, there's none as blind as those who will not see. It could have been written with her putra moh in mind!

Last week I saw.one epi where she is telling samar "when you were six months old I dropped you. Your great anupama ma. People do mistakes " ..seriously man !she equated equated current situation with THAT ? What a moron ! Did she drop samar out of anger or disgust and regret later ? Every child falls down , is this the motjers fault?

I dunno how this show is at the top but I am hoping , for not too long . Audience however can relate to her bec there r plenty of women out there who cannot take a stand in such a situation, specially when they are not financially independent. They see nothing wrong in her sacrifices and compromises. But I believe on TV, they must set an example and call out spade a spade. No selective morals and gyan and certainly no hypocrisy. . First she should learn to stand up against ba , only then she can deal with vanraj. She isn't inspiring from any angle.

Yeah it was pathetically dumb lines by anupama to compare dropping child by mistake and betrayal/cheating/mental torcher of husband 🤢

THIS! ❤️

This bit in bold basically sums up all my thoughts about Anupama's character right now...

I also agree that Anu (and any other woman's) role as a mother ideally shouldn't define them completely... but with Anu the problem is that the choices she's making right now aren't really in her children's best interests either (divorcing her husband, then bringing him and his mistress into the house, agreeing to live with them both after her ex-husband literally told her to GET OUT, and most recently giving those papers to Vanraj...)

These choices aren't good for anyone in the family besides VanYa.

And yes, Baa is vile... she is the woman who made Vanraj the arrogant, selfish, hypocritical and all round immoral man he is today in the first place... and even after the revelation of his affair with Kavya at the resort and his subsequent exit from the family house, Baa carried on inviting Vanraj to all festivals, threw a big birthday party for him at the house, and constantly pressured Anu to forgive him when he clearly wasn't even sorry...

Women like Baa irl are far worse than women like Anupama...

Because at least the "mahaan" Anupamas of our society practice what they preach...

The Baa types constantly preach to daughters in law, relatives, outsiders about "a woman's place", whilst they never practice any of these so-called values/sanskaars in their own lives, neither do they encourage any women they truly care about to do so (like Dolly or Pankhi in Baa's case)...

There's no surprise that these women most often raise hypocrites (just like our Vee) too.

That one you mentioned was the worst episode! 🤢

And that whole rant towards Samar for calling out his awful father (who btw had completely provoked him by trying to throw him out of the house for dating Nandini) is a huge part in why I've lost most of my respect for Anu's character...

The little respect I have will turn to none if Anu now reprimands Pankhi for getting Kavya kicked out of the house, and goes and brings her back...

I think this show slowly climbed the TRP ladder during the wedding anniversary track, and got to no.1 when Anupama decides to start learning to become independent after finding out about VanYa... it actually had a slight drop recently, and may well continue to fall further if they show Anu living with VanYa and making more and more dumb decisions...

The point at which the show became no.1, and the fact that it remained at that position through the divorce track indicates that the general public is ready to accept new ideas... it's the makers who for some reason, aren't.

Yes, a woman who we're all supposed to accept as being very knowledgeable in homely matters believes mangalsutra symbolises your inlaws blessings, and accidentally dropping your baby is comparable to a husband cheating on his wife for eight years, and then trying to force his mistress's presence on the whole family
