We didn't see much of Aryan's side of the story so nope. He was always there as Ranbir's best friend.

I always feel they should give Aryan more SS and give him a good track. Even Saha na has more SS and dialogues than him. Exploring his relationship with Aliya would be good to see. Also I always feel like he is adopted. Don’t see the Mehra DNA in him

Yes. Devoting more screen space to Aryan and not bringing in unnecessary characters like Tanu, mitali and saritaji is what makers should have done.
