Aren’t there good amount of Mughal depictions already? Why not talk about other parts of Indian history now ?

Editing to add specifics: Chola-Chalukya conflict, the Hoysalas butchering Tamils, the Kakatiyas attacking Nellore. There's more: Maratha invasions of Bengal and Afghanistan area.

Or do you want an example of someone prior? How about Parasu Ram? That throwing the axe and bringing up land from the sea that is Kerala? It was actually conquest to resettle migrants from the north.

You literally pulled that from, umm, where?😆 I am yet to come across any poster who said that Please ,in your eagerness to come across as the one who is being fair to the Mughals,don’t be unfair to us common people who never said any such thing. 😛

@Red: Isn’t that what we have been saying? How did you conclude that as us saying Mughals= bad and the so called Hindu Kings= Good?

There have been and I am surprised at people who think that people are being intolerant against Mughals. We have had plenty of Mughal representation in our pop culture so much that west confuse Indian culture with Middle east.. We have had Mughal-E- Azam, Akbar Birbal, and plenty of films and tv shows on them and it will continue🤷‍♀️

Also if you read history, you will know the barbaric ways in which the Muslim invaders approached the Indian Subcontinent, people were shocked out of their living daylights. Muslims actually introduced looting, plundering and destruction of the community places like libraries, universities etc so that they can curb the socialization and as well as the education of the masses. There was no such record of the Hindu kings doing these kind of barbaric acts. Also the Hindu kings mostly kept their shenanigans to each other at the most to the palace. Most of the times it didn’t make any difference to the common man as to who was holding the crown.

As for me trying to be fair to Mughal kings at the expense of the common man... I think it was last week someone called me a bhakt😆 with cowdung for brains for saying Afghan region was considered part of greater India on the SRK thread.

I have an interest in history, that's it.

Also been called Trump supporter and hardcore feminist among other things on this forum. The hardcore feminist one I will proudly proclaim anywhere, but the rest...😆

i didn't conveniently miss anything since the post was quoted as a whole. The parts I bolded speak for themselves - along with the insistence that the common man didn't suffer during those insider invasions.

Also, nor did I ever claim Mughals didn't do all that and more.

I was merely countering the potrayal of one side as blindingly pure while the other side was (deservingly) called vicious.

The Mughals just were more ruthless and brutal than the local rulers.

Maratha Empire were not some beacon of hope, they used to raid and pillage neighbouring states, like Bengal, Orissa, just as much or even more than the empires of that time.
