There were some very good title songs for serials in that era. Rubbish soaps, but very good title songs.

Think that concept has mostly disappeared- the last one with a decent title song was perhaps what.... Uttaran? (the original "woh nahi samjhe abhi" one with the small Iccha and Tapasya)

The serial in my DP (KTLK) had a decent song as well (Saiyaan naino ki bhasha), but don't think it aired at the beginning of every episode...

Is there a difference between a title song and a song that airs at the beginning of every episode?

Or are the terms interchangeably used even if the song doesn't air at the beginning of every episode.

Yeah that was a good title song. I think I started watching the show because of the song 😆

the former is title song and the latter can be theme song

for instance - tu hi bata is title track and rabba ve is theme song

i believe that's the distinction. Having said that you can post either in that thread

I love title songs. It gives the base of the show which is lovely.

Few shows do have title songs even now -Kumkum bhagya doesn’t have 😆

But due to advertising they cut down on that

SP when they changed their logo and tag line used to show a 20-30 sec tune before the episode began but now they stopped that also

We are so used to FL giving long dialogues and ML listening its refreshing to see the reverse
