I don't know what possessed me, but I wrote a lengthy reply to it instead of ignoring it for the crack post it was. Half the things said I could barely decipher. I have no idea why they kept comparing this show to YUDKBH, and even so, they see the 90s through rose colored glasses...

Zaan's recent IV did put neutral fans like me in an awkward spot and it made me personally also feel weird the way the way it was presented as if the ruh wala ishq being better than jism wala ishq, when there are two couples in the SAME show portraying these different ideologies, and doing so with dignity. I was sharing my concern about it there since there was no need to do so here. There were some others who stated how this has made them not like AmDheer anymore. Bas ye hua. All of us here and on that DT have a lot of admiration for Zaan as a person tbh, but if something can be misconstrued and is consistent for so many people, we need to be able to address it.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and we should learn to respect it.

I don't want to drag this topic, since I don't have the specifics on Zaan's interview, but just my two cents, I don't see how AmDheer is "ruh wala ishq" and VashmAy is "jism wala ishq" just due to VashmAy getting to be physical. Why was Radheer so riled up by Mogar taunting him that he wouldn't be able to satisfy Amrit physically when he was bedridden? They have "ruh wala ishq" right? So that shouldn't matter. And VashmAy have ruh wala ishq too, as they care about each other even when separated. Now it is AmDheer that are able to be physically close to each other while VashmAy are apart. Physically isn't just SR. In reality both is important, hard for love to survive on physicality or mental connection alone.

Thank you for these profound thoughts. We were not equating the two couples to either, we were just emphasising on how the way it was presented in that article made it look like one is above another, which is not the truth, both couples have different ways of expressing it on the SAME show. Like even you pointed out, it is both elements make up a successful relationship, and if the ruh wala ishq was enough, he would not have cared so much about Mogar's words. On point!

Given what is happening already in the show at this point with the other characters and their SS, the choice of words used collectively seemed like an indirect dig taken at the other couple, and even if unintentionally so, it makes sense to address it, because yes, it did affect a SECTION of fans who watch the show only for VashMay and turned them off AmDheer, when the question of physical intimacy was raised. We are being civil about it here, but it was raised mainly because it did spark off a heated conversation on the two couples on social media sites like Twitter and Instagram (without the KUDCA or couple tags ofcourse), became a topic of discussion on WhatsApp, ended up being a reason for fan fights and then it was misconstrued to a large extent on the lead's character too. It is important for publishers to see what message is being sent out in the context of the promotion, especially when the show is in a vulnerable state with trps and less SS and other stuff already 🙏

He/She/They have a completely different perspective on the couples and at a level of delusion where I dont think any of us can really have a legitimate response to see our side, so I guess it is best to let the post move to the next page with less responses than break our heads over it 🤦‍♀️
