His silence when sai is being abused by his family is only pushing Sai away from him - obviously she will question what place she has in his life. I don't know if it is again a part of his pattern - he actually does not stand up strongly for anybody else in the family either.

The one aspect of Virat's character I absolutely cannot stand is his patriarchal attitude. In one episode he says "ladki ka ghar uske sasural mein hota hai" 😔 . It is ofcourse imbibed from the patriarchal setup he grew up in, but still 🤢.

Unfortunately, it's imbibed in our thinking. I have seen traces of it in Sai as well. When Sai said to Pakhi that Devi has more rights than us who are the DIL. I was like why should that be even said. A DIL has equal rights if not more than the daughter or son of the house. I don't think Pulkit will be ever told that he is less than Virat or Samrat or Mohit.

The tone and the words were extremely disrespectful towards the eldest bahu of the house..Yes Sai is the eldest Bahu of Chavan Family.. then again Virat just gave a look..and when Aai mentioned she has done all that, he was proud.. I did not want him to be proud about Sai for doing this..but wanted him to question Kaku, why is she entitled to do it.. Just one line could have been included there in that episode.. Makers promote DIL abuse with such scenes and with ML just giving a look or sighing.. Kaku said I will break your legs..he says Kaku..Sai brings a stick for kaku to beat her..he says Sai jyada din tak nahi reh paaogi agar yehi rawaaiyaa raha gharwalo ki taraf.. I mean was that rawaiyaa worse than what Kaku said with no one around to question her statement..no ache ghar k bade said a thing.. instead smriked..

This family that they claim to be respectable , to me, seems to be the worst of the families that we may have seen...Where is the respect? the way the the family treats the daughters- Devi and Shivani.... their bahus....and on top of that promote EMA....and Virat ko bade dil ke acche lagte hain....woh aai and Sai ko sab ke saamne kuch bhi suna deta hai.....apne baba ko Sai per haath uthane ke liye question bhi nhi karta.....What sort of a character is this? Are we promoting him as a hero material?

Candy floss and balloons de kar ghar waln ko Sai ko kuch bhi kahne and karne ki permission dena...is that love/like /attraction???

I used to think ki professionally he is capable...but apni shoddy chanbeen se usper se bhi parda hatane per majboor kar diya hai....😂

Going by Virat’s character, he focuses on one thing at a time. It's mostly the bigger issue on hand. He reacts only when it's necessary and there is no choice left. He fought for her studies, during Shivratri and few other times. He doesn't give much importance to the daily taunts and he assumes Sai will do the needful to shut them up.

I would have blamed him if he had a different set of rules for Sai and others but Virat ignores all the taunts from his family and Sai sometimes until he feels he needs to react to it. It's his nature and men function differently than women during confrontations.

I do agree that giving him some dialogues or monologue will help the audience connect with him better. It's only because of Neil’s acting we can understand what's goes in Virat’s mind

I think he meant every time sai reminds him of Pakhi love and the deal .. he feels hurt, stupid, ashamed and thinks “ what the hell was I thinking? .. it almost feels like he fell down whilst running and had hurt his knees, bleeding a little and in pain. Sai then rubs salt on the wound... it will make his wound worse therefore he needs something like honey to rejuvenate the skin and heal it naturally 🤣😂

Virat = wound

Sai = turmeric paste

Pakhi = salt

true...that's the main issue...he gives the least importance to Sai and Aai....Aai to ma hain...But for sai uss waqt umeed mat rakhna and committed hum wala dialogs bole the and deal wali shaadi offer ki thi....ab he wants her to understand his change of feelings...bina kuh kahe...and Sai ka Amay/aneket ke baare mein baat karne per hungama machana...jab ki Sai has almost no connections with them...and khud Pakhi ke saamne Sai ko immature/ziddi et etc bolna...Pakhi ke galat behavior per bhi shant rahna...and when Sai knows ki woh ek dusre se pyaar karte hain...what will Sai make from all this?

I actually did not have an issue with that..why Ill tell you because Son in laws are treated as bhagwan..mehman in the house..given a lot of respect and have people roaming around them for their welcome..However they dont have any rights on the house.. Again I have seen a lot of daughters suffering a lot because the daughter in laws took over the house and the daughters of the house have no rights on her family...on the money when they need...In personal life I have seen some daughters not being able to go to their mayka's after their parent's death because they think they need permission from the DIL and the brother and his wife never feel it important to tell that its your house as well.. I have closely seen a lot many ladies who have not been able to visit their home..a home that their father build.. a home where they spent their childhood as a family member..they go there as a burden as a guest.. If they have some issues in life..need some financial help from the family.. they cannot use any money their father has made..because supposedly in everybody's head..daughter parayi hai..

"You have feelings for Pakhi didi which you have buried deep in your heart and you don't even want to accept it."

For the above he first tried to explain that what she was thinking was a lie. What she was thinking was not true. He has no feelings for Pakhi now and that is why he said that it is a lie.

And then these questions arised.

Her questions were on point :

Then why did you say you can't be my husband?

Didn't you say you have committed to someone else?

Is that someone to whom you had committed was not Pakhi didi?

He was tongue tied when he heard these questions. When she told him about their history. He was overwhelmed with the amount of information Sai had and that she has misunderstood it all. He wasn't in a position to explain and didn't know at that point of time how to clear her misunderstanding.

He wasn't ready for this kind of confrontation or to discuss about his past with Sai, not at this point of time. I think he felt defeated. He wanted to build a relationship with Sai and his past had come in their way and he wasn't comfortable with it. May be even embarrassed, which I am not sure of.

It is like a you want a girl to love you and that girl has discovered that you had feelings for some other girl. His misery was how he could explain it without affecting their future relationship, their budding relationship. How does he explain her that, that was his past and now he has no feelings for Pakhi.

If Sai had loved him, he would have shared his past with her. However he is worried that when she already dislikes him, what will she do now is she knows his past. How will she react to it? Will she will even like him despite knowing his past. I believe he was going through a lot of emotions, was in a turmoil.

It was a checkmate. The last question that she asked were all valid because they were all about the past. However, the first statment was false because that is not true, because it is about now, the present.

Hope this helps.

Off course....monologues are very important...bahut confusion hota hai ki bande ke dimag mein chal kya raha hai...😂 😂

For bigger issues: I think Devi Tai wala issue is big...woh IPS hai and then too itni bakwaas tahkikaat??? He seems to be a lazy character now!😂

And again I did not like his stern tone to Sai before going to a jhoola date with Pakhi in the night...uss waqt especially Pakhi ke saamne Sai se aisi stern tone mein baat karne i koi zarooart nahi thi...He reacted where not needed at all...Jahan use bolna chahiye tha.... Sonali Kaku ko Sai ke parents ke baare mein bakwaas karne se rokna chahiye tha...he was quiet...

While it's true it's also true that a DIL is never treated like family by in-laws and this thinking coming from educated women is disturbing. A woman irrespective of the tag society gives her has all the right to the home she lives in and puts her efforts day and night to turn into a livable place.

She should have said Devi has equal rights and should not have compared with DILs of the house
