Disappointed with QH 2.0

I am a die hard fan of AsYa and was looking forward to QH 2.0. I watched it and quite disappointed with it. I didn’t like KSG and Surbhi’s acting or the storyline. I miss my original AsYa, especially Akdu Ahmad Khan. 😒

Hi!! I loved it to the T. But I am glad there are people who think otherwise too. So welcome and vent out your grievances, while being open minded about it. ❤️ Hope S2 is better for you guys. Maybe if you can describe what wasn't to your liking, all of our discussions can just reduce your disappointment. Either way it's good to discuss 😆

Definitely agree. I think majorly it had to do with the storyline. It seemed so rushed in few parts. I definitely missed the Old AsYa. No wonder Gul refused this project. Im sure if Gul would have directed it would have been so good.

I loved it. I dont think it was perfect by any means.. but i think the big disconnect that happening with viewers is their pre-determined mindset about what the show should be. This is a new show pretty much entirely and therefore its not going to be the same asya or the same feel as the original QH. KaBhi infact have been doing interviews and made sure to say exactly that. So to expect to be the same as old QH is diservice to yourself as the viewer and also what the show currently is.

That being said, i def do not think this show is perfect. it definitely is not. there were a lot of cheesy aspects, and continuity issues, some overly exaggerated stunts.. and even KaBhi chemistry in my opinion wasn't instant..

BUt, i highly recommend watching it again from a new lense and give it a 2nd watch because it breaks the barrier of wanting it to be something else.

The acting is good amongst the leads, the backdrop of the story and major plot line is strong, and the writing is pretty good. I think its worth a shot frankly to see it out more than just the first season.

Asya/Kabhi frankly are a little different but their overall chemistry is still strong.

I definitely agree! I came to the forum after a few months just to see if anyone had a similar opinion after watching 2.0 so I am glad to know that I am not the only one who was disappointed.

I literally watched like 2/3 episodes before shutting it off. I was so sad about Asad and Zoya's character. The charm is not the same. I know it's been so many years since season 1 aired so I knew there had to changes but not so much.

I remember reading one of KSG's interviews where he said that 2.0 is a story from a different universe but with the same characters.

But my expectations were crushed when I didn't see that charm that ASYA used to hold.

Anyway, after watching those 2/3 episodes, I shut it off and started season 1 all over again😆

The continuity issues really bothered me. Also the storyline seemed to be jumping tbh along with loopholes. For me I definitiely saw it with an open mind but the storyline was not gripping.

Ikr, I wish they had kept it a romantic love hate relationship.... Hell maybe a business rivalry.
