For me this is clear indication that Baba has no trust in Pallavi's words whatsoever, his love and trust in her is just artificial. Aai is for the moment better than him.

Today Baba has showed that his honour is more important than his love for Pallavi. He considers her as his honour and would not bend his honour for anyone nor would he let Pallavi do anything which will affect his honour. He is so proud of his lineage which we can even see from the fact that he is the only one who does loom pooja now. Pallavi is his pride as she has taken up his lineage but the day he finds out that she has lied to him, I feel he is going to push her away.
