I now think the dance is symbolic in the sense even if they are in different places, their attention will be on each other. So even if Veer is in jail and Rani is somewhere else, they will only be caring for one another. In that sense, then Birju distracted Rani with the head bump right? Maybe he will do that here too by trying to take Rani away and because of that she will lose sight of Veer briefly. But in the end, Veer will come back and they will support each other.

Veer told her to leave...but she won't. She won't let him take the blame when she knows he too is innocent.

But the opening was Veer guiding Rani to dance. It should be shown in first few episodes .

They will keep on looking for eachother . Then Birju release her and when Rani is about to fall Veer catches her. Then everything stays still. The focus will be on them. I don't understand how they can downplay Veer taking the blame!!!! IT IS SUCH A BIG DEAL. It is not about Ranisa or Kiara or any third person!! It is not even about Ramadheer. Veer took the blame on Rani's birthday FOR RANI. He prayed to God that her wishes will come true and he just let himself suffer for it. Why are they even showing anyone/anything else!
