HEYYYY GUYYSSSS I AM BACK WITH ANOTHER OS!!! Everyone wanted one with Rani pregnant, so your wish is my command đł In this OS, Kumud doesn't exist and Veer is actually an orphan and RANISA IS AS USUAL A CHUDAIL!!!
------------
It was a beautiful morning in Manali. The sky was bright blue, the birds were chirping and the chaiwala could be heard from the balcony. Rani woke up with a big smile on her face, today was herâs and Veerâs anniversary and each year without fail, Veer takes her to her favourite samosa place, but this yearâŚlooked like it might a little different, she thought looking at her stomach. She found she was 8 weeks along and had planned to surprise Veer today with the news.
It has been 3 years since their marriage. The marriage that broke all hell loose but got two star struck lovers, together. They really say, that all connections are made up there, by God. Rani and Veer were no less. Their story started off with appreciation and respect for one another and kept growing from there on, be it through the troubles thrown at them by society because of class clash, or the taunts that Rani had to bear after marriage from her in laws, or be it the tough competition Veer had to win in order to make sure that Rani was his, for ever. It was not easy. But that one event, was enough to bound them to one another for the rest of their lives.
Veerâs breakdown was not easy to deal with, his internalised pain of 20 years, all came out in one night. The night his truth came out. The night Ranisaâs truth came out. The night he realised that he was merely a pawn in her game and in the process of trying to please her, he hurt the most important person in his life, his wife, Rani. The only person who stayed by him.
FLASHBACK:
Veer: RanisaâŚtheyâre lying right? You never do anything wrong!! Youâre my Ranisa. My mother. You can do no wrong. (faces the family) STOP LYING! SHE CAN DO NO WRONG. YOU GUYS ARE DISGUSTINGâŚ
Veerâs words were broken, slowly fading away as he fails to breathe whilst talking and crying. His eyes were as red as it could get. He was breaking. He did not have it in him to accept the truth, the woman that he worshipped was the reason behind all his pains, was the reason why his wife was almost dead. Veer fell on the floor, by Ranisaâs feet and held onto her.
Veer: Ranisa, this isnât true. This canât be true.
Still crying and trying to catch a breath. His condition was slowly deteriorating, and everyone could see that, but no one dared to come forward to support him, give him a hand of reassurance.
Rani could not watch standing anymore, even though she was being held back by Rajmata. She slowly walks to him, sit by him and gently gets him to face her.
Rani: Veer, you have to let goâŚlet her go. She isnât worth your time, love, emotions, anything. She is not human.
Ranisa, still standing strong, unwiltered. Acting as though she is still the supreme power, and nothing can break her. Speaks up.
Ranisa: Let go of my feet Veer, although, this is where you belong. You cannot blame me, I always made sure you knew that this is where your place is in this family. By my feet. You were the only one I could control and that worked out perfectly didnât? Look at yourselfâŚa motherless child, someone dejected from society but still alive because of my mercyâŚandâŚ
Rani: RANISA! I dare you to say another word to my husband. He may not have a mother; he may never know who his real parents are. But one thing he will always have, no matter what happens is this Raniâs support, love, and attention unconditionally. (She turns to face Veer) Veer get up, letâs go. You have dealt with enough. CmonâŚ
As Rani was helping Veer. He did the most unexpected thing. He grabbed her and hugged her as if his life depended on her. At that very moment, Veer knew that no one would stand by him, the way Rani has always stood by him. Rani although shocked, knew that this is what would calm Veer down. She held him back and caressed his hair and let him shed his tears. He slowly calmed his breathing down and started to get up.
Rani: Chalo, we need to pack.
Veer looked at Rani blankly but did as he was told. He didnât comprehend what was going on, his brain had shut off. But he did know that right now, the only person he could rely on was Rani.
This was their last day in the Rajawatâs house.
END OF FLASHBACK.
A loud, hearty laughter could be heard coming from room 567. Everyone was familiar with that laugh. The laugh that had the power to bring a smile even on the most ill person in the hospital. The favourite doctor was back in business.
Veer was in his new hospital, looking after his favourite patient, Koki Auntie, the woman was a joker and would always propose him and he would always say yes, just to see her smile. He truly loved his job.
Veer: Koki auntie, today I wonât be able to give you, your afternoon medicineâŚ
Koki auntie: yes, yes yes, I know itâs the 14th march! Itâs your anniversary, I know beta. This day every year you take Rani Betya to kakaâs stall for samosa. But I donât why, this year feels a little differentâŚ
Veer: what? Why does it feel different? Itâs all still the sameâŚ
Koki auntie: really? I donât whyâŚit feels like something big will happen today.
Veer walked out of the room laughing and rather confused about her predictions, but he brushed it off. His hearty laugh that made the entire block happy. He was excited to go home and spend the day with Rani. Recently with his high demand at the hospital and Raniâs job as the top engineer, it was difficult to spend more than a couple of hours together. Regardless, with a smile on his face, he made his way to the car and called Rani.
Veer: yaaarrrrrâŚthis woman takes soo long to pick up!!
Rani: I can hear you!! I did pick up see!!
Veer: yes after 4 rings! Anyways, Iâm on my way home, do you need anything?
Rani: noâŚnot really, just come home
Veer: Iâm trying to be romantic and give hints and you just spoilt it all. You really are a duffer.
Rani: oh hello!! Relax yourself! You aynt getting anything from me today!!
Veer: really?? We shall see wifey. Acha Iâm driving, Iâll be home in 30 minsâŚbe ready.
Rani: shut up
And she cut the line, leaving Veer laughing, with his chest. He was truly lucky.
Rani had 30 mins to spare. She prepared their flat with everything and left the card on the table for Veer to read, first thing when he enters.
Veer enters the flat and is surprised to see all the decorations.
Veer: Rani!! Iâm home!! when I said get readyâŚI didnât mean get the flat readyâŚ(thinking) where is she? Ooo a card for meâŚchalo, lets quickly read thisâŚ
----------
Dear Dr Saab,
I made you laugh didnât i? did you like the decorations? I donât care if you like it or not, you have to put up with it, because I like it. It has been 3 years since we have had each other as support. You have always stood as a strong pillar in my life. Never would I have thought that the biggest doctor in Jaipur would turn out to be my husband, my best friend, my 4 am ice cream partner, my dream sharer, my radio when Iâm quiet and my peace when Iâm sad. I LOVE YOU!!!! To many more years with each other.
Happy anniversary PAPA xx
------------
Veer was in tears. This woman was nothing less than an angel in his life. He discovered himself and happiness after a long 28 years, all due to Rani.
Veer: (thinking) What is this? Why are there baby shoes? Baby clothes? Papa? WaitâŚRaniâŚ
He was in utter shock!! Not knowing what to do, he screams Raniâs name. Needing to see her at that very moment and she appears, looking like an angel.
Rani: I see you got the newsâŚ
Veer: YouâŚyouâŚyouâre pregnant? Iâm going to be a dad? Iâll have a little ½ me?? OMG!! Wait what if Iâm not a good dad? What if I turn out like them? What if I become emotionally distant what ifâŚ?
Rani knew that this would happen, but she was also prepared to wash down all his worries, with 1 sentence.
Rani: You will be an amazing dad. You will be their best-friend. Their partner in crime. You are Raniâs Veer. No one else. Remember that.
Veer dropped on his knees, crying. Circled his arms around Raniâs waist and hugged her and shed tears. But this time they were tears of happiness. He didnât have a loving family, but he will make damn sure that his child gets the best childhood ever, full of love and happiness. He looked up and kissed Raniâs little growing stomach.
Veer: Hey, thereâŚyou are my little champ. Papa loves you. Canât wait to see you!! You know...
Rani: (thinking) Mata Rani, please look out for my family. Keep us this happy always. Keep this man happy and content. I donât want anything else.
Rani, looking at her husband lovingly, sent the silent prayer up. She was watching how he was just talking continuously to their unborn child and teared. Veer got up and opened up all the gifts and took her to kakaâs stall for her samosa of the year and just like that, they spent the rest of the evening in each otherâs arms, roaming around the beach and having a hearty laugh.
If a stranger saw them, they would think that all love stories should be like theirs. Beautiful.
