The slap scene was a bit out of the scene. Hadn't Sulo Kaki stopped his hand would he have given her a thappad? Sulo gets on everyone's nerves but still slapping your brother's wife is just not it. Sulo needs to be taught a lesson. Always humiliating Pallavi.

Baba got insulted in front of Raghav by Sulo Kaki. Is that why he is acting weird? 😕

Yes, very weird.

But I suppose we have to always remember that the engine of dramatic fiction is conflict---and conflict can only be created when characters do things contrary to reason and expectation. So Baba is just playing his part in providing us a juicier story. Can't wait to see what unfolds.

Ah! Yes, perhaps that is it. Baba is upset. First Sulo Kaku overrode Baba's man-of-the-house role in inviting Raghav to shaadi---and then insulted his "Perfect Pallavi." As Sulo Kaku said, speak a word against Pallavi and Aayi+Baba brandish their swords.

I don't approve of Sulo Kaku nor condone her behaviour but she has a point. And particularly now that she knows Pallavi is maintaining a false accounts ledger to persuade Baba that the shop is doing well, she has some cause to doubt Pallavi's integrity.

In fact, rather than create a scene, Sulo Kaku should have gone to Pallavi privately and said, make a credible excuse to not attend Mansi's wedding and I'll keep your secret from Baba. Done.

But without juicy scenes there is no juicy serial. One loves to hate characters like Sulo Kaku but they are essential to story-telling, aren't they?

True. I mean---she literally cannot afford to avoid him. She has a challenge to win and a business to bring back on firm footing. This whole financial problem with the Deshmukh Saree Emporium is available for Raghav to exploit is he so wishes to.
