Interesting you mentioned Rebecca. remember reading the novel as a teen thinking it would be a hot romance. It wasn't. 😂 A few years later when we were visiting Cornwall, I made sure we stopped by Fowey, a port town in South England, and a place that had inspired Daphne du Maurier.

I'm not sure whether what I'm gonna state will fall in this "unsatisfying" category or not but my memory recalls only one movie with "unsatisfying" story and that is GAJINI where Kalpana died without knowing Aamir's reality. 😓 It was damn frustrating.

Ooft that one really pissed me off.

I absolutely hate not having closure. I mean, if I have to google or watch videos on youtube that tries to explain what the ending of a movie means, then you bet your ass that I am beyond pissed off at this point.

As mentioned by another member here, Ghajini never gave me closure either. Kalpana died without knowing she was engaged to marry the real Sanjay Singhania and that annoyed me to no ends 😆.

I also recently watched a movie called ‘My Cousin Rachel’ and this would be a prime example of a movie grating on your last nerves. I hated hated that we never knew whether Rachel was actually evil or misunderstood by the mentally unwell hero. Omg the pain.

On similar lines, when girl rejects a decent guy for a douchebag because saccha/pehla piyaar.

One movie that comes to my mind reading your post is - RamLeela. They were just about to be accepted by the family and they kill each other. Just because it was based on Romeo-Juliet, this had to be the ending. Urg!

Also, imo Ghajini was unsettling and emotional, not unsatisfying. I mean, it tugs at the heart that Kalpana died without knowing Sachin/Sanjay Singhania was one and the same person. If there is one scene in any movie that makes me emotional/teary eyed , it has to be this!

It is far from annoying, just maybe upsetting.
