My theory on the hook fixing attempt is that he was testing Pallu's boundaries. Remember the scene where he told Anjali that he broke up her wedding because he was into her and she instantly mellowed and was ready to date him. Then he pointed the mirror to her. I think the hook fixing attempt could be seen as his way to testing the waters with Pallu...if she had let him he would have written her off or told her that she is a lust filled monkey just like others he has met. Instead he is impressed by the lecture wali devi tho it gets annoying to him because he can't put her in a box.

That is the whole crux of the scene..very well written, directed and performed.. him fixing her blouse would'v raced our heartbeats n pulses but that would'v completely gone against Pallavi's character. Raghav also wouldnt have crossed the line but yes ur right, he was testing her.. now he knows her a little more than he knew yesterday.. is he impressed or what? That smirk when she cheekily tells him he is not impressive, says it all.
