He did clarify here this wasn’t about him being snubbed (he barely promotes his stuff these days ). Also Grammys is shitty with both with the nomination and awards so I don’t see how he is wrong here ( Weekend being snubbed despite Blinding Lights being the biggest hit of the year, Beyoncé being snubbed repeatedly , Mackelmore winning over Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish sweeping last year etc ).

@aish - so funnily enough Zayn’s tweet has come back to networking politics which is exactly what we were discussing. Let’s use your brother’s big 4 example. Almost every big job at the big 4 (above senior associate level) is almost entirely about networking. Whether you are director of tax, consulting, audit or assurance, your entire job is not to be a specialist in that field, but to bring in clients. How well you communicate with stakeholders (internal or external) becomes the key focus of your job from middle management onwards. And the only way you can do that is through network politics.
