Shraddha Kapoor looked more like Saina.
Also, I am so over living person biopics.

This is so overdone and dramatic. And the mole? It is distracting and larger than it should have been.
When MS Dhoni untold story was announced my first reaction was .. Why does he needs a movie? he is still playing and I was sure the movie will turn out to be a mistake especially once I got to know about it's budget but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise.. From the trailer itself it looked like an interesting story. I guess it's not about how much you achieve in your life and how big those achievements are but how interesting your journey has been.. Now I am not downplaying Saina's success or struggle to achieve what she has but her story looks quite simple and normal, she found her passion in the sport and her parents supported her and she with her hard work and talent made history.. Kudos to her but it's not a story that can make an interesting movie.. That is why every small thing looks over dramatised.
Parineeti is decent actress and I think she has it in her to pull out a good performance if she is directed well.

I think Saina came from a family where girls were supposed to be married at 18, so her story is inspiring. She also put Indian women's badminton on the map. Don't think she comes from an affluent family say like Sania Mirza. But its 2021, so they need to tone down the lecturing

I didn't mean that her story is irrelevant or any less inspiring it's just it's way too simple to be made into movie and hence they are overdramatizing it.. From what I know she does come from a good middle class family and her parents were always supportive of her playing the game... I mean even her mom was a state level badminton player. She trained in Gopichand academy and it's the best in this country. . Of course there has to be more to her story than just "ladki hai" cliche but from the trailer it seems that is their main theme.
She’s still relevant and active.
Why are they making a biopic on someone who’s active? 🤓
That mole is so distracting
Shraddha might have been a better choice here.
Definitely a miss! It looks crap and Pari please quit
