Shankar won it for Maa from Taare Zameen Par that year. Definitely a worthy winner and was better than Apne title track

Maa is also another level ...but imagine udit narayan won for yeh taara woh taara Swades good song but not great one ...Apne toh apne still is better than yeh taara woh tara

I love this song and always mention it to people who say Himesh doesn't make good songs. I think this song is written by Sameerji? It doesn't mention it anywhere but it sounds like his style of writing.

Ofc Sonu sang it beautifully...although the song is oversped in this video.

himesh made great songs in early 2000 ...Tere Naam , Apne toh apne , humraaz , dulhan hum lejayenge , dil ne jisay apna kaha etc etc ..,,,he was on par with nadeem shravan , jatin lalit kind

this song is also of himesh ...with 90's style

As a cild I only knew Himesh for his Ooooo style but after I grew up I realised he is genuinely very talented and has given some lovely songs.

Imo he was more inspired from Nadeem-Shravan and Anand-Milind...wheras Jatin-Lalit were heavily inspired from RD Burman.
