@pink Neon i agree with everything what written in article except one thing.....writer/journalist was saying that if content is good then he is agree to pay double or thrice price to only one channel.....really?? I dont think aam janta is that much rich to pay double or thrice amount to only one channel that too 9yrs ago
Look today evn when netflix and amazon offers such good content which is much higher quality than itv content but still only small fraction of viewers watches those content on OTT app with subscription and all majority viewers watches same with help of torrent sites and he was saying that he/she is ready to pay double or thrice amount i guess he is only seeing from his perspective not from aam janta's perspective.....nowdays evn with advertisering revenue nd subscription revenue makers are still making losses so do u think when they will produce high quality shows with higher budget they will ever make profits with only subscription revenues
This is the only thing i disagree with him other than this i agree with everything like seasonal shows nd all but i think in india pakistan's no of episodes(25-31) model will work more than US no. Of episodes (6-8) model but still point remains same of limited no. Of episodes model
In that point i agree with you too. But one thing he said good was there should be different channels for different people of different lifestyle. If a villager ignores modern content than how we expect urbans to watch regressive content. Thus i said once a day every gec network should think about premium and youth audience too. They are only catering one part of audience which is freaking partiality. Star, Zee, Sony, Viacom all should bring new channels that caters the audience whom they had completely lost. Over the years these channels had focussed more in catering the poor and rural audience thus now when they are making piece of good content too, its ignored or not recognized. Seperate channels could make this easier. Like i said Starplus for rural and semi urban, another two channels for youth and premium audience.
You know i feel weekly and bi weekly shows will work really well irrespective of genre and budget if they are made in larger amount with an episode limit of 25-31. Like you see Rudrakaal has only 26 episodes but it will keep us engaged for the next 6 months can you imagine. Our interest towards the show will increase more and more. Thus i keep saying that our format should be like korean and pak tv channels were they focus on series format the most but do not sideline daily soaps too.
