Chapter 16: Mrs. Rathode??

Recap: SamJun moments, Team moments.

He needs Arjun and Arjun needs him.

The next day morning Sameer gets up early as usual and sees Arjun sleeping peacefully. He smiles and just caresses his hair. At last the Arjun Rawate who could not sleep because of his haunting past was sleeping.

Not that he doesn't miss Roshni. He misses her every moment of his life but now he has his best friend by his side to make things better. Sameer's care is just very protective like that of a father and Arjun missed it for last 8 years. He missed his Sam who took care of him who annoyed him and who loved him.

Sameer goes to freshen up and comes back. He tries to wake Arjun up but Arjun doesn't listen.

"Rawate uth" Sameer orders.

Arjun ignores it and covers his ears with pillow. Sameer sees that and gives him an unbelievable look.

"Arjun uth ja. Subah ho gayi hai." Sam orders once again but this time in a little sweet manner.

"Nahin na Sam. Thak gaya hun main. Kal raat der se soya tha na. Please sone de" Arjun requests him in a sleepy voice without opening his eyes.

"Toh kisne kaha tha raat ko itne der se sone ke liye. Ab uth" Sameer growls at him.

"Arjun! Arjun!" Sameer calls his name continuously which makes Arjun get up from his bed unwillingly. Sameer smiles at this.

"Fresh ho jaa aur uske baad hum breakfast karte hai. Chal fast" Sameer goes while giving orders.

"Hmmm." Arjun answers in a sleepy voice and goes to the washroom.

He comes out and sees that Sameer has prepared very good breakfast. Eggs and toast with orange juice. Just like how Arjun used to like previously.

Arjun sees that and smiles. Sameer notices it "Itna kyun muskura raha hai?"

"Kuch nahin." Arjun replies while giving him a smile.

Sameer smiles back at him and both sit to have their breakfast.

At Ayesha's home

All get up and freshen up one by one. They then meet at the breakfast table. Their appetite is still not normal but better than the first day.

All quietly have their breakfast. Shree tries talking to them just like before but they reply normally. Shree doesn't get disheartened as he knows that time and support are the two things he can provide them with.

They then leave for therapy. Shree leaves them there and goes back to Ayesha's home. While returning they all visit SamJun and go back home. Sitting together and chit chatting makes them heal much faster.

*After 1 month*

As Rathode had said, all come to Rathode's home for lunch. Sameer has prepared delicious Biryani for lunch and listening to that Chotu starts feeling hungry already.

Sameer is in the kitchen giving a final touch to his dish when his phone rings. "Haan Mrs. Rathode boliye" Sameer answers the call.

All give Arjun a bewildered look. Did they really hear "Mrs Rathode". Arjun looked at their questioning eyes, but did not answer.

All then look at Ayesha. Her face is normal maybe she expected that Sameer will be married by now. Arjun also looks at that, but her eyes show dejection.

Ayesha then look at them "Aree aise kyun dekh rahe ho?"

They remove their glances from Ayesha and again look at Arjun. Sakshi breaks to conversation "Arjun Sameer ki shaadi ho gayi? Kab? Aur phir uss din aisa kyun kaha ki ladki ka koi yog nahin hai. Kya ho raha hai?"

Liza also hops in and asks "Haan sir. Rathode sir ki wife kahaan hai phir?"

Liza and Sakshi are tensed for Ayesha. They feel she is heartbroken when she actually is. Hence they want to know more. Ayesha doesn't want to know more, hence she doesn't ask. She gets busy in pretending to read newspaper.

"Actually Mrs Rathode na Rajasthan mein rehti hai. Sameer se tang aake woh Rajasthan chali gayi. Woh yahaan pe Sameer ke workaholic attitude se pareshaan hone lagi. Issiliye woh family ke paas chali gayi." Arjun says.

All look dejected, other than Ayesha. Either like her seniors she is very good at plastering emotions or actually she never felt anything for Rathode.

Arjun looks at others. All are still looking at him other than Ayesha. He winks at them and eyes towards Ayesha. All understand that Sameer is not married and Arjun is joking to get a reaction from Ayesha. But who is Mrs. Rathode?

"Sameer unse pyaar nahin karta kya?" Sakshi asks in order to continue Arjun's plan. Chotu, Shree, Liza look at the change in Ayesha's expression.

"Karta hai na. Had se zyaada pyaar karta hai. Unke bina toh woh apni life imagine bhi nahin kar sakta." saying so Arjun controls his smile.

"Really?" Sakshi also controls her smile. "Phir woh unhe manata kyun nahin? Itna bhi kya kaam important hai Sameer ke liye." Sakshi adds on.

"Woh Sameer Dhamsingh Rathode hai. Usse agar pyaar jatana bhi ho na toh bhi woh kaam ke zariye hi jataayega." Arjun mocks Sameer's workaholic nature.

Sakshi also smiles back at him and he winks at her to continue the talk. Sakshi likes this attitude of Arjun. Though she knows he didn't mean to wink and he did it in a playful manner she still feels butterflies in her stomach. She mentally smacks herself for knowing everything and still thinking that way.

Arjun also mentally smacks himself for letting himself lose. Hence he looks at Sakshi, she continues "Itna pyaar. Haaye!!"

Sakshi assures him through eyes that she didn't take any other meaning of the wink and it is okay. His eyes also get a bit relaxed. Sakshi understands Arjun's silence and his apprehension. Hence she doesn't expect anything from him. It's all selfless for her.

Ayesha's expression change and all notice it. She starts getting restless and plays with paper. Maybe she couldn't plaster being normal anymore. All give each other a smile.

Sameer finishes his call and comes out from the kitchen with biryani and places it on the table.

"Chalo lunch karlo." Sameer tells everyone to join.

Arjun asks purposely "Kya kaha Mrs Rathode ne?"

Sameer breathes and says "Aree woh kya kahegi, Ghar bula rahi thi." All smile other than Ayesha.

"Tune kya kaha?" Arjun enquires further.

"Kya kehta? Yahi kaha ki kaam chodke nahin aa sakta. It's not possible." He says and looks at the rest "Inn logon ka kaam bhi toh set karana hai." pointing at Chotu, Liza, Sakshi, Ayesha, Shree.

"Hmm." Arjun suppressing his laughter answer.

"Tum unse pyaar nahin karte?" Sakshi asks purposely and winks at Arjun.

"Pyaar karta hun. Bohot karta hun. Lekin kaam bhi toh important hai." Rathode replies.

"Sir agar aap unse itna hi pyaar karte hai toh milne kyun nahin jaate. Woh bhi toh aapka intezaar kar rahi hogi na?" Ayesha states abruptly. She did not want to hear more about Rathode's love for supposedly Mrs. Rathode.

All smile and suppress their laugh whereas Rathode just gets shocked. Ayesha realizes what she just said and "Sorry sir mera matlab woh nahin tha. Actually mujhe laga ki woh aapko miss kar rahi hogi, toh aapko jaana chahiye."

"Haan Ayesha it's okay. Maasa mere kaam ko samajhti hai. She will understand." Sameer states looking at everyone.

"Maasa?" Chotu, Shree, Liza, Sakshi and Ayesha ask in unison.

"Haan meri maa. Kyu? Kya laga tum logon ko?" Rathode asks raising his eyebrows.

"Sir muje laga aapki wife hogi. Aapne Mrs Rathode kehke greet kiya issiliye." Ayesha answers with a relaxed smile.

"Kya?" Rathode asks shocked and then laughs a bit. He continues "Rawate tumne inka confusion clear nahin kiya?"

"Nahin." Arjun says with a smirk.

"Tumne aisa kyun kiya Arjun?" Sameer questions him.

"Bas aise hi mazaa aa raha tha." saying so Arjun grins.

"Aur tum logon ne maan li?" Sameer looks at the rest and asks sternly.

"Hume pata tha ki Arjun tumhaari wife ki baat nahin kar raha hai." Sakshi says assuring Sameer.

"Haan sir unke chehre pe saaf saaf likha tha ki aapki koi wife nahin hai. Bas kisi ek ko hi nahin dikha." Liza says while looking at Ayesha. Sameer understands but pretends to have not understood.

"Haan kisi ko newspaper se fursat ho toh na samjhe." Shree joins in too.

"Haan re Shree. Pure desh mein kya chal raha hai yeh padhne se pehle, aas paas kya chal raha hai yeh jaan na zaroori hai." Chotu says in a teasing manner. Ayesha glares at all 4 of them and then stands embarrassed in front of Sameer and Arjun.

Arjun tries to suppress his laugh. He at last understood what his officer feels for his best friend. "It's okay Ayesha. Kissi ko bhi confusion ho sakti thi." Sameer assures Ayesha.

Sameer and Ayesha both don't know what they feel for each other. Whereas their feelings for each other are clearly seen by others.

"Sorry sir" Ayesha says with a smile. She doesn't know why she reacted that way. Arjun smiles as he knew something like this only would come from Sameer's mouth. He knows that his best friend and his officer are bondhu when it come to love.

Sakshi gets dejected. She felt that both would realize about their feelings. But no they didn't. They are just colleagues even now.

"Ab khaana kha le?" Sameer asks. All nod in positive and proceed towards the table.

Arjun seeing Sakshi's dejected face walks upto her "Sakshi pyaar ka ehsaas na dheere dheere hi hota hai. Pyaar koi superfast train nahin hota hai. Har kissi ko time lagta hai samajhne mein aur aage kadam badhaane mein. Time lagega unhe samjhne mein ki woh log jo mahsoos kar rahe hai woh pyaar hai. Toh dejected feel mat karna." saying so he walks towards the table.

Sakshi smiles and looks at him walking. Sakshi's POV "Mujhe toh samajh aa gaya hai Arjun. Bas pyaar ke maamle mein har koi lucky nahin hota. Jinse hum pyaar karte hai unhe na hum kabhi yeh baat keh sakenge aur naahi samjha sakenge. Timing perfect nahin hoti na." She smiles in her thoughts.

Ayesha comes to her to call her "Sakshi kahaan khoi hai? Chal khaana kha lete hai."

"Haan chalo" Sakshi gives her a wide grin.

They all sit down at the table and serve themselves.

"Waah Sameer kya biryani hai. Too good" Sakshi appreciates while relishing the biryani.

"Haan sir it's very good" Ayesha also appreciates his cooking skills.

"Haan sir. Aisa lag raha hai ki biryani khaata jaun aur sirf khaata jaun." Shree says. He adds "Chotu ko dekhiye khaana chodh hi nahin raha"

Chotu and Liza enjoy the biryani quietly. SamJunRee are happy seeing improvement in them from last 35 days. Sameer even spoke to the doctor and the doctor had given a positive report.

Then Liza thinks of appreciating Sameer in an unthinkable way "Sir aapko dekhkar lagta nahin kabhi ki aap kaam ke alaawa kissi aur baare mein soch sakte hai."

The reaction of others are as follows Sakshi and Shree were sipping water and they choke on it, Chotu stops eating and looks at Liza, while Ayesha stares at Liza first then she thinks of handling this better. Liza also realizes what she said and smacks her lips. Arjun scoffs to hide his laugh and Sameer just gives an surprised look to Liza.

"Sir isska matlab yeh hai ki humein aapne kabhi bataya nahi ki aap itna acha khaana banate hai." Ayesha tries covering up for Liza.

"Lekin point toh hai Liza ki baat mein. Very good Liza" Arjun appreciates Liza's statement and smirks at Sameer. Liza gets embarrassed and stops eating.

Sameer ignores Arjun's smirk and looks at Liza. He sees that she has stopped eating and is feeling very embarrassed. Hence he tries to ease the situation

"Liza aur kya kya lagta hai mujhe dekhkar?." Sameer asks jokingly but with a strict voice.

This makes Liza very scared and she says "Sir kuch nahin. I am really sorry. Main kuch bhi bol deti hoon. Aap please mujhe team se mat nikaliye na. I am sorry" and she cries.

She got scared because she thought Sameer will remove her from the team. Since therapy is still going on all are now just emotional and Sameer didn't know that.

He thinks he went to far and goes towards Liza "Liza kisne kaha main team se nikal dunga tumhe. Hey (and pats her cheek) agar aisi baaton ke liye main team members ko nikalne laga toh Shree ko pehle nikalna padega."

Arjun smiles at the way Rathode handled Liza and Liza too smiles a bit. Shree understands and to make things even lighter "Liza agli baar na please soch samajh ke bolna. Warna pehle main nikaala jaaunga aur uske baad tum."

"Nahin. Mera matlab hai itni choti si baat ke liye kon team se nikaalta hai?" Sameer casually says.

"Arjun." Sakshi replies immediately. She adds "Phir Home Minister ke paas jaana padata hai team mein waapas aane ke liye." and gives Arjun a smirk.

This irritates him but even makes him happy. He thinks "Chalo achi baat hai normal ho gayi hai yeh. Lekin ab Arjun tu toh gaya. Isski baatein na dimaag ki dahi kar deti hai." But he hides his thoughts with a disappointing nod.

Sakshi makes a cute face to Arjun's this reaction. Sameer notices this and says "Iss baar koi kissi ko nahin nikaalega."

All give him a look full of confusion and questions. Arjun asks on everyone's behalf "Kya bolna chahta hai?"

To which Rathode replies "Kal IG sir Dustin Coelho ka mail aaya."

"Acha. Call nahin kiya tumne phir unhe." Arjun interrupts and asks.

Sameer glares at him and then continues "Call kiya maine lekin unhone call nahin uthaya"

"Maine toh already yahan aane ka plan kiya tha, issiliye phone nahin uthaya. Kyun balance bigaadun" a known voice from behind.

I.G Dustin Coelho,

Previously chief of ETF. Now Inspector General of Maharashtra Police Department. Rathode and his way of working is same. More details in the story. Will not be an integral part but will have special appearances.

"Incomming free hota hai" Rathode says in a very frustrated tone. All juniors get up shocked. It was IG Dustin Coelho, their super senior, to whom they never spoke.

Rathode adds "Waise yahaan kaise aana hua?"

"Tumhe convince karne aaya hun." Coelho replies with full determination. Both look at each other.

The juniors look at the way Rathode sir is talking and are shocked beyond words. Arjun then explains "Tum logon ko Raghu sir yaad hai?"

Shree Chotu nod in confirmation. As they were the ones present that time. The girls have a confused look.

Arjun to clear their confusion says "Woh abhi businessman hai lekin pehle woh aur Coelho sir mujhe aur Sameer ko train karte the. Hum ETF mein pehle se hi the lekin tum logon ki position pe."

"Ohhh" all listen to that and nod.

"Haan phir Coelho sir ko humne promotion lene ke liye force kiya aur woh Commissioner ban gaye." Arjun adds further.

"Phir Raghu sir?" Ayesha asks.

Coelho and Rathode listen to the conversation. Rathode continues then to relieve Arjun of telling the story.

"Jiss din Roshni ki maut hui usske agle din Raghu sir ne apni family ki security ke liye Pre-mature retirement le li. Bina kissiko inform kiye. Tab woh chief the ETF ke. Unke sudden retirement ke baad main pehle ACB ka chief bana aur ETF ke liye training bhi dena start kar diya. Aur tab pure team ka transfer ho gaya with promotion aur unki jagah tum log aa gaye (looks at Shree and Chotu) training ke liye. Tum logon ke training khatam hone ke baad main ETF ka chief bana. Arjun pehle reality se bhaagta raha aur 4 mahine baad sikandar ko dhundne akele chal pada. Aur ETF ki puri zimmedari mujh pe aa gayi. Tum dono ki training (Chotu and Shree) se leke sab kuch."

All pause and look at Arjun and Sameer. Sameer then continues "Phir ek saal baad dono mere saamne, woh bhi Sheen ki kidnapping ke samay. Already itna dara hua tha aur upar se Raghu sir ko mujhpe bharosa nahi, issiliye Arjun ko team mein daal diya unhone. Aur uske baad ka tum sab jaante ho."

"Unki wajah se yeh khauf sehna pada humein?" Shree questions. Arjun glares at him. Coelho and Sameer control their laugh. And the rest give him a 'Mar gaye' look.

And when he realizes what question he asked he smacks his lips and bites his tongue. He adds "Mera matlab hai uss case ke baad Arjun sir ETF join hue."

Arjun looks the other side to control his smile. He then turns to Rathode "Aise unhone nahin kaha hoga ki tumpe bharosa nahin hai." Arjun tries defending Raghu.

"Unhone aisa hi kaha." Sameer sticks firm to his statement.

"Raghu ne aisa nahi kaha tha. Usne kaha tha ki bharosa karna mushkil hai" Coelho tries to calm Rathode's frustration along with supporting Raghu.

"Bohot difference hai na sir?" Sameer asks sarcastically.

"Lekin Raghu sir ne sirf Sheen ko dhundne ke liye ETF mein daala mujhe. Usske baad Coelho sir ne hi mujhe rehne ke liye bola. Hai na sir?" Arjun says.

Coelho looks at Sameer and Sameer looks at Coelho. Both have silent conversation through eyes which doesn't go unnoticed by Arjun.

"Kya hua? Aankhon hi aankhon mein kya baatein ho rahi hai aap dono ke beech?" Arjun asks in full suspicion raising his eyebrows. Even the team notices it but don't ask.

"Woh Coelho sir ko bhi mujhpe bharosa nahin tha." Sameer answers real quick.

"Really? Toh kya hai na Arjun.." Coelho is about to say something but gets interrupted by Sameer

"Mera matlab hai ki Coelho sir ko meri chinta thi issiliye kaam ka pressure kam karne ke liye tumhe rakha. Lekin kam nahin hua ulta zyada ho gaya" Sameer cuts Coelho and glares at him while talking to Arjun.

Coelho looks the other side to avoid any kind of eye contact. Arjun feels something is really wrong and when he is about to ask Sameer says

"Toh Coelho sir ne jo mail bheja hai uss mein do information hai. Pehli uss Home minister ko uske post se nikaal diya hai aur ab woh central jail mein phaansi ki sazaa ka intezaar kar raha hai. Dusri uss mein tum sab ke ETF join karne ke liye dates hai. Shree aur mera resignation approve nahin hua hai toh Shree tum bhi 1 mahine baad join karoge agar karna ho toh. 25th January ko sab ko ETF office report karna hai. Tumhara chief tum sabka intezaar karega."

The team can't even bear the thought of considering someone as chief. Even after Rathode took transfer to Delhi, they did not consider Arjun as chief. So considering someone else as chief was not even a question.

"Nahin Sameer hum tumhare bina ETF join nahin karenge. Hum sab honge, aur tum aur Arjun nahin. That's not possible." Sakshi says and all others agree with her.

"Guys.. Arjun ka pata nahin lekin main join nahin karne waala waapas." Sameer states his decision. All others just look at him with hope in their eyes. If they are joining all will be there or else no one.

"Main bhi rejoin nahin karunga sir. It's not possible. Jo bhi mere saath aur team ke saath hua woh bhulana aasaan nahin hai" Arjun says stating his decision to Coelho.

Coelho knew that this would be their decision. Hence he was already prepared to convince them. "Arjun, Sikandar jaise bohot log abhi bhi chain ki saans lekar jee rahe hai. Unhe naahi kaanoon ka dar hai naahi kissi aur cheez ki. Toh agar unke victims ko hum justice dila sakte hai toh hum peeche nahin hatenge. Yahi shapath li thi na humne, jurm ko mitaane ki aur kaanoon ki raksha karne ki. Toh ab tum peeche mat hato." He explains Arjun so that he joins back

"Lekin sir department ke madad ke bina bhi maine apni duty nibhaayi hai" Arjun says this with a proud feeling.

"Haan jaanta hun, Karan aur Simran ke saath" Coelho says which shocks Arjun but he later realizes that it's Dustin Coelho whom he is talking to. Hence rolls his eyes.

The team crosses their fingers hoping that Arjun and Sameer will agree to join back.

Coelho continues "Lekin time bohot lagta tha. Hai na?"

"Hmm.. information gather karna problematic hota tha." Arjun answers without being affected.

"Toh issiliye. Ab ETF ko independent karaya jaayega. Home ministry ka order hai. Aur tumhe sirf mujhe jawaab dena hoga. Kissi aur ko nahin. Mujhpar bharosa hai na?" Coelho asks Arjun.

Arjun looks at him in the eyes and says "Hai sir. Aap par hai. Lekin department par nahin. Issiliye jab aapne kaha tha ki department ko jaldi Sikandar ka lead mil jaayega, I joined."

Coelho didn't know that Arjun would continue so much. Sameer glares at Coelho. "Really sir? Lead milne waala tha? Aisa kaha aapne?" Sameer asks Coelho.

"Haan aur mila bhi. Tumne diya na Arjun ko 2 saal baad." Coelho says leaving a sigh of relief.

"Haan woh mujhe mila tha. Issilye maine woh Arjun ko aakar de diya." Sameer answers.

"Hmmm.." Arjun nods in positive but not fully satisfied. He feels Sameer and Coelho are hiding something from him.

Chapter 17: ETF Again?

He feels Sameer and Coelho are hiding something from him.

"Toh kya faisla hai tumhara Arjun?" Coelho asks hoping that Arjun agrees to join back. Even the team looks at him with hopeful eyes.

"Sir aapne kaha ki hum independent hokar kaam karenge aur hume sirf aapko jawaab dena padega. Koi external pressure aur influence ke hum mohtaaj nahin hai. Toh thik hai main ETF join karunga." Arjun states his decision and all are very happy.

"I knew you would take this decision. I am proud of you." Coelho says happily.

He now turns towards Rathode. Rathode is happy about this decision taken by Arjun. "Toh tumhara kya khayal hai?" Coelho asks rubbing his palms.

"Sir mera decision final hai. Main waapas join nahin kar sakta. Aapne yeh waada pehle bhi kiya tha ki external pressure nahin hoga lekin iss department ne aisa hone nahin diya. So I can't trust the department anymore" Rathode explains about the reason behind his decision.

"Lekin Sam tumhe Coelho sir par toh vishwas hai na. Aur agar home ministry ke orders hai toh koi problem nahin hoga." Arjun says in order to change Sam's decision.

"Haan Rathode maine kaha na you are an independent organisation. Jo bhi sahi lage tumhe tum woh kar sakte ho. And you are answerable only to me. Higher authorities ko main sambhal lunga." saying so Coelho assures him.

"Lekin sir mujhse nahin hoga, phirse chief ki post sambhalna mere bas ki baat nahin hai. Jo uss post ke kaabil hai usse hona chahiye wahan. Sir I won't change my decision." Sameer states his decision in a firm manner.

Coelho scratches his head and gives a 'I knew it' expression. The team is shocked. Did Sameer just say he doesn't deserve to be the chief? Did he say he is not worth it? They still couldn't believe Sameer's statement. Arjun too was shocked. He never felt Sam would talk like this.

Coelho knew that Sameer is now in a state of turmoil but won't accept it. And to make him realize his worth he has to get back. Because if someone could build up ETF again after Coelho and Raghu left, it was only Sameer Dhamsingh Rathode.

"Thik hai Sameer agar tumhara yahi faisla hai toh main kuch nahin bolunga" Coelho replies. Arjun looks at Coelho with hope that only he can get his Rathode back in ETF office.

Coelho pauses and then continues "Arjun tum jaante ho pichle 8-9 saal se.." Sameer realizes where Coelho is heading and cuts him off

"Haan Arjun 8-9 saal se sab kuch sambhalke thak chuka hu main. Lekin ab main yeh soch raha hun ki phirse tum logon ka chief ban hi jaata hun. Problem hi nahin hogi. Kya pata tumhara gussa dekh kar naya chief next day hi resign kar de" and Sameer ends this with a nervous smile.

The team gets happy that Sameer is going to re-join. They are again going to work as a team. They are again going to get scolded by Rawate and Rathode. And again going to complain about them in private. The old days are going to come back.

Arjun is shocked at the sudden change is Rathode's decision. That too without Coelho persuading much. But he shakes it off and gives a wide grin to Sameer. Sameer also smiles back at him. All sit for lunch and finish it. Coelho also joins them.

"Waah Rathode!! Aaj bhi tumhare haath ke khaana mein utna hi swaad hai." Coelho appreciates him and Rathode passes a fake smile.

Coelho notices it but doesn't mind as he very well knows why Rathode is angry with him.

While having lunch Arjun says "Waise jisne lead di thi Sikandar ke baare mein uss se milna hai mujhe. Apni jaan ko khatre mein daalkar dhunda hai usne."

Sameer stops having food and even Coelho. They both look at each other "Ab kya bole?" Coelho asks.

"Arjun mujhe bhi nahin pata lead kisne collect ki hai. Bas mere Delhi ke cabin mein rakha tha kissine." Sameer answers.

"Really?" Coelho asks. The tone in which he asked was normal for everyone but not for Rathode. For Rathode it was sarcastically asked.

"Really!" Sameer answers with frustration clearly visible to Coelho and Arjun. But Arjun refrains from digging deeper.

All then have their lunch. Sameer's and Coelho's talk is still bothering Arjun. He feels that he has missed out something, but what? He doesn't know.

After lunch Sameer treats all of them with icecream. All sit in the drawing room and eat it. Sameer finds this as a perfect opportunity to give them a news.

"Listen everyone!" Sameer orders. All just look at him. He adds "Jaise ki Coelho sir ne kaha 25th January ko you all will be joining ETF. Toh maine yeh decide kiya hai ki for one month you will be taking training under the best from respective fields."

"Sir phirse aapke under training?" Chotu asks feeling a bit happy thinking that he will once again start from the beginning. Training from Sameer was very annoying but was the best. They hated it but it improved them.

"Chotu maine respective fields mein best kaha. Average nahin" Sameer answers in a serious tone.

All just stop eating icecream and look at him. Did he just call himself average? What just happened? If there was no team present Arjun and Coelho would have taken his class but now since all are there they are quiet.

"Sameer tumhare under training lene mein kya dikkat hai?" Sakshi asks quite puzzled with his previous statement.

"Haan Rathode sir aapki training bohot strict thi lekin best thi. Toh hum aapke under kyun nahin le sakte." Shree says with an equal sense of confusion. What on earth is going on in Rathode's mind?

'Haan sir aap best the training dene main. Aapki training best hoti thi. Jaise Arjun sir best cop hai waise aap bhi. Lekin khauf khauf hai." Chotu says without realising about his last statement. Arjun and Sameer first look at each other and then at Chotu.

Coelho is quietly eating his icecream. And the rest are glaring at Chotu for his slip of tongue. Chotu realizes and says "Sir mera matlab cop tha khauf galti se muh se nikal gaya. Mera matlab woh nahin tha." with a nervous smile.

"Hmm." Both Sameer and Arjun plaster their smile with a stern expression.

Rathode tells everyone under whom they are taking training and from when will they join. "Toh tum log Monday se join karoge. Maine un sab se baat karli hai and they are ready to train you. Shaam ke 6:00 baje training khatam hogi aur uske baad main tum sab ko pick karunga aur Dr. Grewal ke paas le jaaunga. Phir ghar chod dunga. Is it clear?" Rathode orders everyone about their tasks to be performed.

The team listens to it and smiles as they missed it. At last they heard instructions from Sameer. Seeing them smile Arjun asks in a confused and stern tone "Muskura kyun rahe ho?"

"Kuch nahin sir bas 6 saal pehle ki baatein yaad aa gayi." Shree says with eyes moist and happy voice.

"Haan. Matlab Sameer tum abhi tak nahin badle." Sakshi says giving an impressed look to Sameer. Ayesha smiles at Sakshi's statement. All agree to it, even Arjun.

"Ho gaya?" Sameer asks.

All smile. Coelho observes all this and smiles. "Sir humaari yaad aa gayi?" Arjun asks giving Coelho a naughty smile.

"Haan. Waise yeh log toh behtar hai. Tum log toh.." Coelho gets cut by Sameer "Chodiye na sir Arjun ke kisse sunnke yeh log sadme mein pahunch jaayenge." Sameer tries to manage the situation.

If the team ever comes to know about Arjun and his fun-loving attitude all are going to get a 440 Volt shock.

Coelho smiles and stops further description. Arjun heaves a sigh of relief and Sameer shakes his head while smiling.

The team looks very confused. Coelho observes this and says "Sab kuch apne time aane pe pata chal jaayega."

The juniors smile at this.

Arjun then says "Waise Rathode ke baare mein kuch interesting hai nahin. Woh boring tha, hai aur rahega."

To which Sameer continues "Aur Rawate pehle bhi musibat khadi karta tha, ETF mein bhi karta tha aur aage bhi karta rahega" saying so he shoots a glare at Arjun.

Coelho and the team looks up towards the angels for help.

"Kehna kya chahte ho Rathode?" Arjun asks.

"Wahi jo tum samjhe Rawate. Itna mushkil bhi nahin tha." Sameer replies casually.

"Rathode!" Arjun glares at him.

"Rawate!" Sameer also doesn't hold back.

Coelho interrupts "Rathode tumne mujhse training li hai aur Arjun tumne Raghu se, yeh baat main jaanta hun. Lekin prove karne ki kya zaroorat hai? Aur kya hai yeh Rawate Rathode?"

"Sorry sir" both reply in unison and smile at each other. They too remember their good old days.

Team mentally thanks Coelho sir for being there and saving the situation. All sit back comfortably. Arjun and Sam forget about their fight and sit down.

Rathode then realizes that everyone should go home and hence orders Shree to drive safely back home. All bid goodbye and leave. Coelho feels like talking to Sameer regarding his "average" remark but then Sameer reminds him of his meeting. He too bids both his officers good-bye and leaves.

Now Arjun and Sameer are left alone in the same house. Poor Sam!!

"Sam tu aur Coelho sir mujhse kuch chupa rahe hai kya?" asks Arjun raising his eyebrows.

"Nahin toh! Aisa kyun laga tujhe?" chuckles sam

"Nahin bas aise hi. Mujhe laga jaise ki kuch toh chuth raha hai!"

"Yeh tere har baar ka hai. Kuch nahin chuth raha hai Rawate." Sam assures him.

"Hmmm." Arjun stops thinking further as he remembers about the 'average' remark which Sameer passed "Aur kya tha best se training waali baat?" Arjun glares at him and asks.

"Rawate woh log bohot hi experienced hai apni apni field mein. Toh best hi hue na?" Sameer answers getting little irritated.

"Lekin tu bhi toh training de sakta tha na?" Arjun enquires.

"Yaar Arjun mere dimaag mein jo thik laga maine woh kiya. Tu zyaada sawaal mat puch ab. Unn sab ki details deta hun main tumhe." Sameer says in irritation.

Arjun also thinks that he is thinking a lot and hence doesn't question further "Hmm.."

Sameer smiles at him and he too acknowledges it with a wide smile. They then carry on with remaining work.

Arjun then watches news on TV and Sameer goes to his Study room to read books.

*In the Car*

None of them are talking they are just looking into space thinking something. Other than Shree who is driving and thinking. They all feel something is wrong and want to share it with each other, but they are not sure. The drive turns too quiet and they reach home.

At home too they all are pretty much quiet. Shivani Ajay and Hazel realize something is wrong and it has nothing to do with the trauma because suddenly, even Shree is lost or in deep thinking. They feel that all are back in their cop mode and give a smile to each other and leave. They are relieved that at last things are turning normal.

All sit in their room quietly without talking much. Sakshi then thinks aloud "Aaj sab kuch bohot Ajeeb tha."

To which all unknowingly reply "Haan".

They all look at each other in shock and they realise that all felt the same way.

"Haan Rathode sir aur Coelho sir kuch toh chupa rahe hai Arjun sir se lekin kya?" Ayesha quizzes herself and everyone.

"Aur Rathode sir ki 'average' waali baat kuch samajh nahin aaya. Shree tumhe?" Chotu looks at Shree.

"Aree tujhe kya mujhe bhi samaj nahin aaya yeh Rathode sir ne kyun apne aap ko average kaha?" Shree says ruffling his hair.

"Haan na Shree. Best hai woh phir pata nahin kyun apne aap ko.." Liza also didn't like Rathode's comment.

"Haan yaar yeh do cheezein bohot Ajeeb thi. Sameer ka khud ko average bulana aur.." Sakshi says but gets cut by Ayesha

"Rathode sir ko Sikandar ki file table par milna. Jitna main Sikandar ko jaanti hun woh itna shaatir hai na ki uske baare mein sab pata lagane mein bohot time lagta hai." Ayesha goes on.

"Kahin Rathode sir??" Shree realizes something and looks at his team.

"Sameer.." Sakshi calls his name out in shock

"Rathode sirr..." and so does the team

All look at each other for a minute and then Sakshi says "Main usse call lagati hun" and dials his number. She keeps the phone on speaker.
