What's mind boggling is why does she keeps doing item numbers. Maybe she couldn't turn down SRK for Don in 2006. But doing an item number in a Sid Maholtra movie in 2015? Why?

She did because of Karan johar and not Sid. She had refused chikni chameli (same director and producer) therefore she didnt want to refuse them again and at that time she wasnt doing well.

But wasn't this right after she dropped out of doing Shuddi with the Karans when Hrithik was dropped? She left a movie as a lead potentially against Salman (who was then also later dropped but then they did BB together) to turn around and do an item number in a Sid movie? What a downgrade.

I still can't believe how they screwed up Shuddi. Mohaltra was so gung ho on doing it as fast as possible and KJo letting him - to the point of dumping Hrithik after brain surgery - he wound up with no movie at all and then did Brothers. Karma perhaps.

yeah they made her wait for so long (due to that she lost many big movies) too and then they made hrithik leave the movie😡 i think she knew after that they would replace her too. Kjo wanted to use the hype about their pairing (as he did the same with the dp-rk before). So when hrithikk left, she left the movie too before they could kick her out.

yeah they totally screw up that film. I remember i was so much looking forward to it.

That movie also had akshay so it was not only sid and karan.
