I actually viewed it differently. My main takeaway wasn't that Adi put his and Malini's marriage between their equation....that is nothing new....that has been his stance since day one. But yes, Imlie was definitely hit harder by his line that she find another husband....so her hurt right now isn't that he accused her of coming between him and Malini (which is something he has anyways been repeating for 100 epis).....her hurt right now is that he tried to render her belief/her faith moot and made her feel like she needs to find another partner simply so that she doesn't hang on to him.

The issue at stake is whether or not Adi can adjust around Imlie's belief system....she for her part has managed to adjust around his beliefs, his choices....but he hasn't and his choice of words invariably makes her feel hurt because he cannot even give her that much understanding.

What is left for the "sisterly" bond to strengthen on? LOL that's like saying the Adi-Malini bond has to strengthen.....both these "bonds" have already reached the pinnacle of their scope....aage kuch nahin hai in relationships mein to deepen. The sisters are already joined at the hip....aur kitna chipkengi? 😆....Malini ki jitni personality hai, uske hisaab se there is nothing remaining to strengthen in either relationship.

Adi-Imlie are the ones that need scope to grow right now if the story lets them.

I think Malini-Imlie is just gratitude driven at this point, but that’s me. I think they will strengthen it further but again I have constantly been wrong with this show.

I guess it was made clear yesterday ki he never gave any credit to her thoughts or beliefs so hopefully now that he knows about it, may be we will see a little consideration from his side. 😆

Even if it's gratitude driven, my point remains the same....Malini as a personality doesn't seem capable of growth....so any bonds associated with her can't grow either - they are stagnant by association. This is why both Adi-Malini and Imlie-Malini are in a static state....there is nothing more to having a relationship with Malini than slavishly adoring her....both Adi and Imlie are already doing that😆....so there is nothing to strengthen there.....because Malini as a personality doesn't have anything in her nature to strengthen a bond around.

Only thing that can change the status between the sisters is the revelation that they are actually blood related....Imlie may find out and get more senti over Malini with that....but she is already at the point where she is ready to give her life for Malini, where her every other thought is for Malini only.....lol

If you are expecting a relationship of peers, that is not possible for them right now given the difference in social stature....so that demarcation will remain until Imlie manages to grow beyond the status of random "house help" in Tripathi house.

Well, there can be envy in a sisterly bond as well....so that is what Malini's bouts of insecurity can be assigned to😆.....but that aside, I do agree with you that their bond isn't really sisterly cuz that ehsaan flavor remains....Malini's version of playing older sister still has a flavor of wanting to play a role rather than really feeling the bond and taking a genuine stand for Imlie....she's too emotionally weak a person to manage that.

I completely agree that Imlie and Adi are cut from the same cloth when it comes to the pursuit of truth/justice and that is what animates both of them.....Adi is so used to flying solo on this mission of his that I think he still finds it strange when he sees Imlie having the same zeal as him and even more than his zeal sometimes in wanting to pursue justice. He tries to dismiss it as youthful impulse and idealism in her case but he doesn't seem to realize that she has more shades beyond the ones he tries to box her in. Yes, she is youthful and idealistic but she is also courageous enough to handle many dangerous situations that would have defeated people double her age.

So I do agree with your point that given their similarities, the likelihood was very much there that their paths would have crossed somewhere sooner or later....if not in PD, then somewhere else later....but they were destined to cross paths, contrary to Adi's presumptions. He is determined to dismiss PD and all the incidents that happened there as an outlier in his well planned life....he is dead wrong on that and he will learn it the hard way.

Re: the restaurant scene....lol I don't think you're understanding why it looked weird....no one is saying that Adi-Imlie weren't in mental sync there since they were focused on their mission and none of the gestures were romantic....but even then, it really wasn't needed for Adi to cup her face even as a part of that scenario....that's all.

They don't really have a relationship right now....what they have is an EQUATION😆.....and yes, it's more genuine than anything he shares with Malini.....for this to grow into a relationship would require Adi to move beyond his usual tendency of staying in his own head or burying his head in the sand. I just find it really funny that for a supposed grown/mature couple, Adi-Malini's relationship is still so dependent only on flowers/romantic gestures/flowery speeches😆.......Adi-Imlie suposedly have so much disparity between them otherwise but they share something raw and real that anyone with half a brain can see. Obviously Adi-Malini can't fall in that category😆

So Adi can go 2 ways once he realizes he is in love with Imlie - either put on the mantle of the guilt ridden husband who goes to extreme lengths to keep his promises of undying trust and love to Mun OR become what he said in the episode yesterday - like Imlie - who faces issues head on even if it means standing up extra issues by accepting his changed feelings for Imli and ready to share with Mun the truth before its forced on him. Now that would make for an amazing watch. But then I guess the Malini story would be done and I don't know if the CVS would be willing to take the story just on the basis of Imlie's story.
