I haven't read all the posts but I could be in minority here for sure when I say I don't really have too much sympathy for Samrat, except that he doesn't deserve a wife like Patralekha.

I don't think his walking away from the marriage after hearing half a truth was any kind of "sacrifice". It was cowardice of not wanting confrontation-- exactly the way the men in the house have been raised. Virat giving up Patralekha and Samrat abandoning the marriage has the same reason. But except for the fact that Patralekha's own conduct has made it difficult for most of us to connect or sympathise with her, I am not sure if Samrat is really the "man" who Sai deserves.

Long ago, I had made a post here-- one of my firsts where I had questioned Samrat's conduct. So i am just recounting some of it:

1. What did Samrat marry Patralekha for? A: Beauty.

There is nothing wrong per se, because 97% of arranged marriages are only based on physical beauty. But Samrat, he went crazy and overboard being 'smitten' by her exterior beauty without even trying to understand what kind of person she is. He called her Taj Mahal -- to my mind, it translates into a feeling of wanting a trophy wife. My old post was based on how both Virat and Samrat actually fell for only her beauty. Samrat was so thrilled to have found "the most beautiful woman" that her visible discomfort in the marriage rituals were bothering him but he did not offer any comfort. Yes, he asked her whether she was being pressured and he was willing to take the blame in calling off the marriage and so it was entirely this manipulative woman that Patralekha is who ruined his dream by marrying him without having any intention of becoming 'one'. But, did Samrat not feel the need to ask for time, give her the time to understand him and overcome her discomfort. The family wanted a susheel bahu (without even checking susheelta -- it is based only on family blood, looks and the capacity of the family to co-host the wedding) and he agreed to marry the Taj Mahal within three days. Was he never going to return to not have the patience to understand her before bringing her home?

2. Did he hear Virat saying anything that made him feel Virat cheated him? A: No.

Samrat assumed that Virat cheated him. I think between Virat and Samrat, it must be Virat who values Samrat more (maybe only as part of the gratitude he has for Samrat for saving his life) but Virat would have trusted Samrat more than Samrat trusted Virat.

Samrat only heard his newly-married bride screaming "I love you Virat" and he assumed that Virat was on the call with her because they were both 'equally guilty'. He did not want to hear anything, ask questions or give it time. His Taj Mahal had just been damaged beyond repair.

I remember one discussion long ago where someone had raised a question on how Virat cheated Samrat. I will repeat my thoughts on it. Virat did not cheat Samrat. The decision to marry was taken by Samrat and Patralekha as two consenting adults before Virat actually came into the picture and realised that Samrat's would-be wife was the 1.47 hours wali yoga lover, whose real name he didn't even know. So, at the haldi ceremony, he meets the truth and the woman, who confesses she is agreed to marry Samrat because she assumed Virat had cheated her. By then, the was betrothed to his brother and he was not going to marry the same woman and bring her home. Period.

Yes, he was heartbroken and it was too big a shock to behave normally and Samrat ended up witnessing his moment of weakness at a point but he did not prod Virat when Virat refused to tell him the truth. I would not fault Virat for not telling Samrat about Patralekha. Because there was really no 'affair' as we all agree. It was a missed opportunity that came Samrat's way.

Also, I firmly believe in keeping quiet with Samrat, Virat was right. It should have been Samrat's wife-to-be to speak the truth to him. Why should Virat have interfered between a matter that was between Samrat and Patralekha-- the agreement to marry. Between Patralekha and him, he made his stand clear - I cannot do this to my brother. I cannot marry you and take you into the same family that chose you for him. But I can request you to continue with your decision to marry him because he is a nice guy. We will have to forget this here. And he says that in as many words.

During the sangeet, when he made that bhankas promise to her (it's another subject altogether), it was really done out of his desperation to send her out of his bedroom where she had barged in uninvited -- Didi ki aadat tabse hai room mein entry karne ki. But the onus of falling for that impractical promise and misconstruing it as per her own liking was totally on Patralekha -- the woman who was introduced as this independent, confident, modern girl. If she went ahead and married Samrat without telling him the truth just based on her hallucination that Virat would eventually not be able to see her with another man and fight for her, it was her madness. Samrat became the unwitting victim but did he even try to ask questions?

Didn't he assume that his brother -- and if he really trusts his brother the way they have projected their bond -- was thinking of carrying on an affair with his new-wife? Didn't he leave the woman he married all alone in the house, where she knew no one? And what about the widowed lonely mother and the family? Was the heartbreak so big that he could not even stay back for his own family and not even try to come back until now? He did not try to find out if his mother is well, whether his brother is really having an affair with his wife? At least, Virat is there and facing the unpleasant situation -- in whatever way he knows. He did not run away. He feels responsible to protect Patralekha's honour in her husband's absence because her husband means a lot to Virat. I think I am yet to see Samrat to decide what kind of mettle he is made of. Yes, he was shown as an upright person but is he strong enough for us to decide that he would have been a better choice for Sai? I don't think.

The one differentiating factor between Samrat and Virat has to be patience and perseverance -- Samrat did not have even a minute of patience to understand the woman he just married. I don't think he would have been able to handle Sai as a 'wife'. It is only Virat, who can handle Sai. 😆

Lo.. as i said, precis writing is not my cup of coffee.🤣

Ek baar isse soch kar dekhiye kaisa dekhta hain.

If sai marries samrat then she will be left alone herself coz being an army Major samrat would not be living with her 24*7 for eating chaat , pakodi , candyfloss etc.

Sai will keep poking nose in other matters & instigating Cgang with her nahi batungi attitude coz no one will come to defend her , I will feel very sorry for samrat whenever he will return home sai ki complaint file uske samne khol di jayegi.

Nothing will change in CN coz kaku will not entertain sai phir vo kissi ki bhi wife kyu na ho .

Mansi bua hardly speaks to anyone.

I doubt army officers ke saari posting aise jagah ho jaha family saath reh sake & I doubt samrat will leave his career to stay with sai.

Samrat se shaadi karke sai ko milega kya
