The second part i feel thats rare because if you like the leads you tend to like whatever they are portraying.. I guess

To play devil's advocate the student teacher relation taboo is in Indian context. Culturally Guru Shishya relationship is considered pious and pure in our culture. It is unconditional and sacred without negative emotions. While a romantic relationship have many aspects and relationships which can have different shades like lust jealousy etc which are considered negative emotions. Sexual context of the relationship between a teacher and student is frowned upon. Especially if the teacher has a track record of abusing his position of power. We have countless examples of Uni and school professor sexually abusing or blackmailing female students. It's about what we call "his nazar". If its a one off relationship I don't mind of. But if he has a track record of such predatory behavior of abusing his position then it its ethically and morally wrong even if the relationship is consenting. I have seen three real life examples of such relationships. One is a family member with an age gap of 10 years with a marriage of 20 years and now are divorced where my uncle was her English Professor and young handsome man of 29. Another example is of my UG class mate falling for our Endo Prof who was 14 years her senior and had quite a bad reputation with female students so we were skeptical that he is taking her advantage. We all say we shouldn't judge but truth is we do. The third is of another UG student getting married to our Ortho PG prof with 8 year age gap but after her graduation and in an arrange marriage set up. One was of a UG Male class mate getting caught with a 12 year seniors female profession in a compromising position. Parents also usually find it hard to accept such relationships even if it is pure due to sheer cliff one has to cross to be together. There are always allegations of bias, favoritism, abuse of power, coercion etc.

I would absolutely agree with you.. Even I read so many posts that how can a professor and student can fall in love I would like to tell that

1)Now in this generation we have to change our orthodox thinking.

2)If you watch devar bhabhi romance/old man and young girl romance and comment on watching a professor and student's romance than shame on them.

3)We should progress our thinking and society should also accept them rather gossiping about them or taking it negatively.

4)If they are happy within themselves we should be happy for them and not start criticizing them.

and yes if they are mature to handle their relationship we are no one to pass our judgements.

and this show is atleast different from every other show

they are not showing overated romantic scenes of the leads everywhere so I feel good to be watching an amazing show like this and atleast for once everyone should watch the show and change their thinking as well..

@bold That’s what..He speaks sense at least unlike others. Really can’t understand why don’t people want to watch shows jahan FL doesn’t have tsunami in her eyes and is strong willed and has a way through things.

Yes if the CV's would have limited their interactions to class and would have shown their story with respect to sexual tension it might have come across very creepy even to me.

But then now they are provided with an ocean of strong emotions they will feel together.

So it's all good !

Technically the age gap is 9 years so not a big deal.

@bold: I'm sure these relationships do exist in the society, but for me personally it would have been weird to watch this. What I love here is how cvs have interwined their personal and professional lives. There's a personal angle of astha involved and their interactions are not limited to class/college. This personal angle is what brings them together and their equation started because of astha before they even entered student professor relation.

People should know their backstory because making judgements

Isn't this the toxic nurturing we get through such shows?

I mean people would rather watch a majboor girl giving in to circumstances and seek protection from MCPs than watch two mature adults fall in love and get married on their own will....

I love this show more than I liked the bhabhi devar ema you spoke about... That was crap and I'm glad i quit it when there was still time.
